Said flexible application element due to its form comprising the base and projections extending outward from said base, said projections preferably flexible, enables application material such as lubricant or material for increasing friction or special depositing materials or plurality thereof or combination thereof delivered from predetermined dosage point to reach a predetermined point on a rail wheel passing on said rail. This flexible application element is therefore used to spread or apply application material such as lubricant, or material for increasing friction or special depositing materials or plurality thereof or combination thereof, onto passing rail wheel.

A rail applicator assembly includes a rail having a head portion, a base portion, and a web portion extending between the head portion and the base portion. The head portion defines an outer surface. An applicator for applying a friction modifying material to the surface of the rail includes a foam body and an applicator support. The foam body is secured to the applicator support and defines a flow passageway that extends through the foam body for friction modifying material to flow through.

A retrofit for an actuator element (16) in a railway track lubricating apparatus (10) for applying lubricant to a rail (12) includes a housing with a chamber, an enclosure block, a spacer element for occupying the space in existing actuator elements (16), a T-shaped plunger with a base adjacent a coil spring, and an actuator stem movable in a bore in the top of the housing, and wherein the stem is supported by and in sealed communication with a bushing that is placed within the cavity of the bore. A hydraulic fluid inlet opening is located at the bottom of the housing and a hydraulic fluid outlet opening is located at the top of the housing. A second embodiment provides an actuator element (16) for use in new lubricating systems whereby the actuator element (16) is mounted onto the rail (12) and does not involve a spacer element in the chamber of the actuator element (16).

A drive unit for rail lubricating devices and a method for using the same solves the problem of the using impact of rolling stock wheel to drive lubricating device, and preventing or mitigating peak caused by impact and resulting pressure overload or uncontrolled application of the lubricating medium in different climatic conditions or at different external temperatures by using the impact of at least one wheel of rail vehicles via the pivoting lever (4), also described as a rocker arm, and the inertia of this motion to operate the lubrication device in such a way that it changes the kinetic-potential energy of the rolling wheel impact (1) into torque (8) without the help of added hydraulic fluid and without creating a negative pressure for the purpose of pushing the medium or dosing.

The insert comprises an outer casing comprising a tubular sidewall and a base, the sidewall and base defining a spatial volume therein, the base defining an inlet passage that extends through the base and that is fluid communication with the spatial volume, and an elastomeric body having a first end and a second end, the elastomeric body disposed within the spatial volume and affixed to an inner surface of the tubular sidewall, the base, or both an inner surface of the tubular sidewall and the base. The elastomeric body comprising a flow passageway having a length extending from the first end to the second end, the first end in fluid communication with the inlet passage of the base, the second end further comprising a depth-length and defining an orifice along the depth-length, the orifice moving from a closed position in the absence of any applied pressure within the flow passageway, to an open position when pressure is applied within the flow passageway. When the rail port insert is installed in a railhead port, the inlet of the outer casing is in fluid communication with a railhead conduit. Also provided is a method of inserting the rail port insert into a railroad outlet port, and use of the rail port insert.

In accordance with the present inventive concept, there is provided a device for dispensing at least one maintenance agent, such as an anti-ice agent, a de-icing agent or a lubricant, in a railroad application area, wherein the device comprises a dispensing arrangement. The dispensing arrangement comprises a first dispensing member (6, 7) comprising an inlet which is adapted to receive a first maintenance agent, at ieast a part of the first dispensing member (6, 7) being adapted to be arranged in the railroad application area, Moreover, the first dispensing member (6, 7) comprises at Ieast one perforated hole (10) along a predetermined length of the first dispensing member (8, 7).

Technical problem of time lag between start of operation and application of medium onto the rail vehicle wheel 's flank is solved by line distributor, preferably for anti-noise device for rail brakes wherein the line distributor is positioned directly next to rails to provide for accurate dosage in real time and in required-desired quantity. In such a case the dosage tubes are reduced to the length enabling correct operation of an applicator. The device is preferably used for application of anti-noise material onto wheel's flanks of rail vehicles. In addition flat guides of the applicator are replaced with guides with rounded, preferably essentially elliptical, more preferably essentially circular cross section so the edges of damaged wheels do not transfer shocks onto the device. The distributors in general are devices used for distribution and dosage of medium onto the wheel of the rail vehicle which is approaching part of the rails with additional friction between wheel rim and rail or some other device such as rail switch, rail brake, leading rail or some other device. The medium for purposes of this application in this case is means for spreading around the wheel's flank and it does not necessarily mean means for lowering of a friction coefficient - in fact it may even mean means for increase of said friction coefficient. Said lubricant according to this invention is preferably very complex Composite Heavy Fluid Compound (CHFC).

본 발명은 전동차 탑재 분사장치에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 상용 전동차나 신조 전동차 편성 중 무동력 차량(T카)에 분사장치를 탑재하고 전동차가 상시 운행하면서 물을 분사하여 지하철 터널 내에 부유하는 오염물질과 열차운행시 발생하는 미세먼지를 포집하여 도상으로 침강시켜 터널 내 공기 질을 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 분사장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 상용 전동차나 신조 전동차의 편성 중 무동력 차량(T카) 하부에 분사장치를 탑재하고, 가압모터와 펌프를 통해 토출측 분배관에 압력수를 공급하여, 분배관에 결합된 분사노즐을 통해서 분무형태로 분사되도록 구성된다. 또한, 센서와 제어반에 의해 열차가 지상선로를 운행하면서 레일 표면에 자동으로 분사할 수 있게 구성된다.
