Abstract:
A filtering funnel assembly has an outer body having a plurality of panels. A first one of the panels is joinable to a second one of the panels to define a funnel. Each of the plurality of panels including a top edge and a bottom edge, the top edges define a funnel inlet and the bottom edges define a funnel outlet. A liner is nestable within the funnel, the liner has a top portion forming an opening and a bottom portion. A portion of the liner is configured to attach to a portion of the funnel. The liner nested within the outer body enables a fluid to enter the fluid inlet of the funnel and the fluid inlet of the filter liner and to pass through the bottom portion of the filter liner and the fluid outlet of the funnel.
Abstract:
Provided is a drip containment apparatus that in certain example embodiments may comprise a ceramic body having a glazed exterior surface and an unglazed interior surface defining a cavity therein, and an aperture defining an opening from the exterior surface to the interior surface, the aperture and interior surface being adapted to receive therein a distal portion of a funnel and to support the funnel so that residual fluid inside the funnel will tend to drip into the interior of the ceramic body and be absorbed into the ceramic body but not leak through the glazed exterior surface. A support structure may be provided to support the ceramic body while it is holding the funnel. The ceramic body may be ornamental in appearance. In one embodiment the ceramic body is adapted to be hung on a wall during use.
Abstract:
A bucket funnel has a funnel body which clips onto a bucket with a top flange. The funnel body has a semicircular lower edge which has about the same radius of curvature as the bucket, but only extends about halfway around. There are outer tabs with inward facing channels at the ends of the lower edge of the funnel body to clip into the flange of the bucket. There is also a spring loaded release clip at about the middle of the lower edge to clip onto the outer flange of the bucket. An inner apron extends down from the lower edge of the funnel body to form a seal against the inner wall of the bucket. An interchangeable conical nozzle attaches to the funnel body for dispensing of fluids of various viscosities, such as glue, paint or fresh concrete.
Abstract:
A funnel (1) comprising a funnel body (2) defining an upper inlet opening and a lower discharge opening, the inlet being of greater diameter or width than the discharge opening, at least a portion of the funnel body being define by or having mounted thereon an attachment means (16) permitting the funnel to be attached to a substantially vertically arranged body panel of a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment said attachment means comprises one or more regions or portions of a magnetic material (16) for attachment to steel body panels of the vehicule or other ferromagnetic objects. In an alternative embodiment said attachment means may comprise one more suction cups. Preferably at least a portion of the funnel body is formed from a flexible or callapsible material whereby the funnel can be manipulated between an in use configuration and a collapsed or folded configuration to enable the funnel to stored in a compact form.
Abstract:
A device for simultaneously pouring a liquid from a bottle (50) into a vessel (52) and mixing air into the liquid comprises bottle engaging means for engaging the neck of a bottle (50), vessel engaging means for engaging the vessel (52), a liquid flow passage (68) for flow of liquid from the bottle (50) to the vessel (52), an air return passage (34, 36) for flow of air from the vessel (52) to the bottle (50), and a liquid distributor (18) for distributing liquid in a path into the vessel.
Abstract:
A device for transferring a medium from a first container (1), having an opening (4) sealed by a sealing member (5), to a second container (2), likewise having an opening (10), comprises means (9, 13) associated with the second container and arranged to be brought into co-operation with the sealing member (5) so as to open the opening of the first container and permit the medium to flow into the second container when the openings of the two containers are brought together. One of the containers is provided with a male member (3) defining the opening of the container and arranged to be brought into a female member (8) defining the opening of the second container when the openings of the containers are brought together.
Abstract:
Filling units (11) for supplying small tanks or the like with gasoline, kerosene, or other flowable materials which attach to an inlet to such a tank (13). When the filling unit is in a fill position, a displacer section (21) occupies a substantial volume within the tank. It allows the person filling the tank to supply the liquid until the tank will accept no more and the liquid reaches a predetermined level (62) in a funnel portion (19) of the filler. Thereafter, manipulation of the displacer section (21) vertically within the tank, as for example by sliding a section of the overall unit upward, accommodates all the liquid remaining in the funnel up to such predetermined level within the tank by occupying the volume previously occupied by the displacer section and thereby completing the filling of the tank to a full condition without any spillage. The overall unit may be such that it is intended to be removed from the tank after each filling operation, or it may be designed to fit permanently within a wide-mouth tank inlet (89) and to be movable downward to a storage orientation which allows the unit (87) to remain mounted in the tank inlet and covered by the protective cap (117) that normally screws onto the inlet opening to close it.
Abstract:
A beverage serving apparatus is configured to produce an optimal amount of head (or layer of foam) and foam stability when a beverage is poured through the beverage serving apparatus and into a vessel. The beverage serving apparatus includes an inlet, an outlet, and a conduit having a variable cross-sectional dimension extending between the inlet and the outlet.
