Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of alkanesulfonic acid. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the production of alkanesulfonic acid from alkyl mercaptan effluents generated in chemical industries. The process of the invention comprises the oxidation of the entire alkyl mercaptan generated as an effluent in the chemical industries to serve two concomitant purposes: (1) complete removal of obnoxious odour, and (2) value addition by the production of alkanesulfonic acids selectively in quantitative yields.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing alkane sulfonic acid, comprising the following steps: (a) oxidizing alkyl mercaptans and/or dialkyldisulfides and/or dialkylpolysulfides having three to nine sulfur atoms with nitric acid to give alkane sulfonic acids, water, nitrogen oxides and further by-products, (b) regenerating the nitrogen oxides obtained in step (a) with oxygen to give nitric acid and feeding the nitric acid to step (a). Steps (a) and (b) are carried out in separate reaction spaces.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for preparing a supermolecular- structure nano-reactor, wherein thiols are intercalated between layers of a hydrotalcite (i.e. layered double hydroxide or LDH) through co-precipitation or ion exchange. Said reactor is used to oxidize thiols, for example, L-cysteine or glutathione with an oxidant, such as aqueous hydrogen peroxide or bromine water. A single oxidation product can be produced therefrom with increased product selectivity.
Abstract:
Higher-alkane sulfonyl halides are prepared by contacting a sulfur-containing compound, a halogen-containing compound, and a phase transfer agent within a reaction zone under reaction conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing alkanesulphonic acid by oxidizing an alkyl mercaptan, a dialkyl disulphide and/or a dialkyl polysulphide having three to nine sulphur atoms with an oxidizing agent, wherein additional oxidizing agentis fed into the oxidation if as yet unoxidized alkyl mercaptan and/or unoxidized dialkyl disulphide and/or at least one intermediate from the oxidation of the dialkyl disulphide and/or of the dialkyl polysulphide is present in the reaction output, and a corresponding apparatus for performance of oxidation reactions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the fields of organic electronics and photonics. More particularly, the present invention relates to fluorescent charge-transfer compounds emitting in the visible spectral range from blue to red, comprising a triarylamine moiety, an electron-withdrawing group and at least two photopolymerizable groups. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a film-forming and photo- crosslinkable composition comprising at least one compound of the invention and its use as a precursor of a photocrosslinked emissive layer.
