    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft gemäß eines erstes Aspekts ein Polyethylen-artiges Polymer umfassend Methylengruppen (CH2) und mindestens eine funktionelle Gruppe ausgewählt aus O-C(=O)- Gruppe und O-C(=O)-O-Gruppe, wobei das Polyethylen-artige Polymer ein zahlenmittleres Molekulargewicht (Mn) im Bereich von 20.000 bis 10.000.000 g/mol aufweist. In einem zweiten Aspekt betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von spezifischen Monomeren der allgemeinen Formel (II) und/oder spezifischen Oligomeren der allgemeinen Formel (III). In einem dritten Aspekt bezieht sich die Erfindung auf eine Zusammensetzung umfassend ein Monomer der allgemeinen Formel (II) und/oder ein Oligomer der allgemeinen Formel (III), wobei die Zusammensetzung erhalten oder erhältlich ist nach dem Verfahren des zweiten Aspektes. Ein vierter Aspekt der Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Verwendung der Zusammensetzung gemäß dem dritten Aspekt zur Herstellung von Polymeren. Ein fünfter Aspekt der Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Fertigteils, umfassend Bereitstellen eines Materials, das ein Polyethylen-artiges Polymer aufweist, und Urformen des Materials. Ein sechster Aspekt der Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Fertigteils aus einem Material, wobei das Material ein Polyethylen-artiges Polymer aufweist, wobei das Fertigteil mittels eines additiven Fertigungsverfahrens hergestellt wird.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the fields of life sciences, enzymes, micro- organisms and degradation of plastics or synthetic polymers.     Abstract: A continuous flow process and system for depolymerizing plastic. A heterogeneous mixture of plastic particles, a solvent, and a catalyst are pumped continuously through a heating zone at a flow rate just high enough to maintain a particle speed great enough to keep the plastic particles in suspension. The temperature of the heterogeneous mixture is raised in the heating zone and maintained in a hold zone to complete depolymerization of the mixture into a homogeneous solution containing a liquefied reaction product. The homogeneous solution is cooled to solidify and precipitate a solid reaction product. The solid reaction product is separated from the solvent to be recycled. The solvent is recirculated to be reused as a constituent of the heterogeneous mixture.

    Abstract: A molded article providing an electromagnetic shielding, comprising i) a polymer substrate comprising at least one polymer having a contact angle θ with water of at most 95°; and ii) a metal coating coated directly on at least a part of the surface of the polymer substrate by thermal layering. By appropriate selection of polymer substrate, a metal coating can be applied to the surface thereof by thermal layering techniques without the need of a chemical surface pre-treatment or modification, or the application of a primer layer, even if the polymeric substrate contains significant proportions of reinforcing fillers or flame retardants. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a molded article providing an electromagnetic shielding, comprising i) providing a polymer substrate comprising at least one polymer having a contact angle θ with water of at most 95°; and ii) directly coating at least a part of the surface of the polymer substrate with a metal coating by thermal layering.
