There is also provided a method for forming said encapsulated particle, a composite comprising said encapsulated particle, a method of forming such composite and use of said encapsulated particle as an additive in a composition or formulation. In a preferred embodiment, the encapsulated particle is a thermochromic dye.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sicherheitspigment aus Kern-Hülle-Teilchen, umfassend einen auf einem thermoplastischen Material basierenden Kern, eine auf einem Kondensationspolymer basierende Hülle und einen im Kern in gelöster oder fein verteilter Form vorliegenden organischen oder metallorganischen Merkmalsstoff, wobei der Massenanteil der Hülle mehr als 25%, bevorzugt 50%, besonders mehr als 100% relativ zur Masse des Kerns beträgt. Die Erfindung betrifft des weiteren Verfahren zur Herstellung der Kern-Hülle-Teilchen sowie Wertdokumente mit den Kern-Hülle- Teilchen.
