Abstract:
A continuous process and apparatus for treating dried coal and coal char to promote passivation of the reactive carbon particles by forming a protective oxide coating and simultaneously adding moisture to rehydrate said particles. The passivation process is conducted in a novel apparatus providing for the staged control of the reaction temperature and the staged introduction of both oxygen and moisture. The fluidized bed apparatus has internal in-bed cooling means embedded within the fluidized coal or coal char particles so as to remove the heat energy as it is released by virtue of the exothermic passivation reactions.
Abstract:
The present technology describes various embodiments of methods and systems for improved coke quenching. More specifically, some embodiments are directed to methods and systems for improving the coke quenching process by partially cracking coke before it is quenched. In one embodiment, coke is partially cracked when placed in horizontal communication with one or more uneven surfaces. In another embodiment, a coke loaf is partially broken when dropped a vertical distance that is less than the height of the coke loaf. In another embodiment, a mass of coke is partially broken when first placed in vertical communication with one or more uneven surfaces and then placed in horizontal communication with the same or different one or more uneven surfaces. In some embodiments, the one or more uneven surfaces may be mounted to a coke oven, train car, hot car, quench car, or combined hot car/quench car.

The metal stresses in a delayed coke drum (10) are reduced by externally cooling the coke drum (10) near the junction of the drum shell (44) and the supporting skirt (38) thereof during the quench step. This reduces the metal stresses at the area around the welds (22) of the drum skirt (38).

A method and apparatus for quenching metallurgical coke made in a coking oven. The method includes pushing a unitary slab of incandescent coke onto a substantially planar receiving surface of an enclosed quenching car so that substantially all of the coke from the coking oven is pushed as a unitary slab onto the receiving surface of the quenching car. The slab of incandescent coke is quenched in an enclosed environment within the quenching car with a plurality of water quench nozzles while submerging at least a portion of the slab of incandescent coke by raising a water level in the quenching car. Subsequent to quenching the coke, the planar receiving surface is tilted to an angle sufficient to slide the quenched coke off of the planar receiving surface and onto a product collection conveyer and sufficient to drain water from the quenched coke.

Изобретение относится к области энерготехнологической переработки угля, в частности к получению из угля тепловой энергии и высококалорийного твердого топлива (кокса) для металлургии, энергетики и других отраслей промышленности. Сущность изобретения заключается в том, что способ переработки угля предусматривает использование в качестве исходного сырья уголь фракции 0-35мм, и переработку угля производить последовательно в двух секциях кипящего слоя, разделенных барьером. В первой секции осуществляют термоокислительную обработку при температуре 650-800°C с подачей воздуха, а во второй секции полученный кокс охлаждают путем подачи водяного пара или охлажденных дымовых газов. Устройство для осуществления способа, представляющее собой аппарат с кипящим слоем, выполнено в виде котельного агрегата, в котором топка состоит из двух секций кипящего слоя, разделенных барьером, в первую из них подведен воздух, а во вторую - водяной пар или охлажденные дымовые газы.

A method and apparatus for quenching metallurgical coke made in a coking oven. The method includes pushing a unitary slab of hot coke onto a substantially planar receiving surface of a hot car. The hot car containing the coke is then transported to a quench car station. The unitary slab of hot coke is pushed onto a substantially planar receiving surface of a quench car at the quench car station. Quenching of the slab of hot coke is conducted in the quench car with a predetermine amount of water. After quenching, the quenched coke is dumped onto a receiving pad for collection thereof.

본 발명에 따른 연속식 바이오 숯 제조 및 고품위화 장치와 방법은 목질계 바이오매스 가스화 설비에서 발생되는 부산물인 흑탄을 고부가가치를 갖는 백탄으로 만들 수 있다. 이를 위해, 본 발명은 킬른 내부의 온도와 체류 시간 및 압력의 최적값을 제안하고 이를 구현하는 장치와 방법을 개시한다.
