The invention relates to a device for forming a leno selvedge, using alternately moving heald slide bars which are supported by heald frames and using two lifting healds which are supported by the heald slide bar, in addition to a half-heald. Projecting follower cams are provided on the lifting healds in the area of the half-heald. Said follower cams work together in a positive-fit with stops which are provided on the half-heald. Control elements are arranged on the lifting healds in the area of the half-heald head which guide the half-heald to the corresponding opposite side, as the lifting healds move back and forth.
