    摘要: In a first embodiment, the invention provides a composite fabric which contains a first fabric layer and a thin film. The first fabric layer has an upper and lower side and contains a plurality of synthetic polymer fibers. The synthetic polymer fibers contain at least 15% of bio-based carbon content as measured by ASTM D26866-20 Method B. The thin film is located on the lower side of the first fabric layer and contains at least 15% of biobased carbon content as measured by ASTM D26866-20 Method B. The thin film has an average weight of less than about 30 GSM and has an air permeability of less than about 1 CFM as measured by ASTM D737 @ 125 Pa.

    摘要: A thermoformable nonwoven composite containing a nonwoven layer which contains a plurality of first staple fibers, a plurality of first binder fibers having a first melting point, and a plurality of second binder fibers having a second melting point, wherein the first staple fibers, first binder fibers, and second binder fibers intertwine and cross at crossover points. The difference first melting point and the second melting point differ by at least about 15°C, and at least 95% by weight of all of the fibers in the nonwoven layer are polyester. The thermoformable nonwoven composite also contains a first resin formulation containing a first resin. The first resin is located within the nonwoven and located in at least a portion of the crossover points. The first staple fibers, the first and second binder fibers, and the first resin all contain a polymer from the same chemical class.

    摘要: This invention relates to heterocyclic red azo colorants for seed treatment applications. Seeds for use in horticultural/agriculture applications that are coated with the heterocyclic azo colorants provide anti-counterfeiting properties to the coated seeds. A color change phenomenon is observed when the coated seeds are exposed to an acidic material, such as vinegar, and provides evidence of the authenticity of the coated seeds. The invention also relates to agricultural formulations containing the heterocyclic red azo colorants that can be used as an anti-counterfeit agents. The heterocyclic red azo colorants have the following formulas: (II), (II) wherein R2 and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, and poly(oxyalkylene) moieties, and wherein at least one of R2 and R3 is a poly(oxyalkylene) moiety.

    摘要: A composite roofing membrane is disclosed having upper and lower surfaces. The composite roofing membrane contains, in order, a first membrane, a second membrane, and a nonwoven fleece. The first membrane has a first side and a second side, where the first side of the first membrane forms the upper surface of the composite roofing membrane, and where the first membrane comprises a thermoplastic polymer. The second membrane has a first side and a second side, where the first side of the second membrane is adjacent to and in direct and intimate contact with the second side of the first membrane, and where the second membrane comprises a thermoplastic polymer. There are no fibers or yarns between the first and second membranes. The nonwoven fleece contains a plurality of yarns, has a tensile strength of between 100 and 1000 lbf, and a tear strength of between 20 and 200lbf.
