Abstract:
Abstract:
A screeding machine comprising at least one of (a) a boom speed cruise control for automatically controlling the travel speed of the screed head assembly, (b) an auto-stabilizer control that automatically adjusts the stabilizer actuators of the screeding machine to a preselected degree of extension, (c) a control for automatically controlling the lowering of the screed head assembly toward and to the concrete surface and automatically activating the auger and vibrator at a beginning of each screeding pass and automatically deactivating the auger and vibrator in response to the screed head assembly being raised away from the concrete surface at the end of a screed pass, and (d) an auto-screed mode that allows the operator to select maximum values for at least one of a boom extension speed, a boom retraction speed, a boom rotation speed and a screed head rotation speed.
Abstract:
A portable vibratory screed (10) includes a blade (12) that is connected to a handle (28) constructed to be manipulated by an operator. Nodes (112, 113, 115, 116) of minimum vibrational amplitude are formed at specific locations along the length of the blade when the exciter is driven at a rated operating speed. A site level (164) and/or the handle (28) is attached to the blade (12) at or in the vicinity of one or more of these nodes, therefore, is relatively isolated from induced vibrations.
Abstract:
A material flow control device is for a paving vehicle for forming a mat of material on a base surface and including main body with front and rear ends, and an auger disposed rearwardly of the body and spaced above the base surface. The control device includes a support connected with the vehicle body and spaced from the auger and a barrier disposeable at least partially between the auger and the base surface. The barrier is configured to retain paving material above the base surface and has a front end. The barrier is movably connected with the support such that the front end is displaceable between a most proximal position with respect to the vehicle body and a most distal position with respect to the vehicle body so as to vary a size of a flow opening definable generally between the barrier and the body.
Abstract:
The machine has leveling means (10) in the form of a laser emitter-receivers assembly (101-102) to generate an electrical signal that passes through a microprocessor (11) and that is used to regulate the level of spreading plates (6, 7) relative to the ground using electric-mechanical means (9), said plates serving to spread thick and fine layers of concrete. The machine also has means for vibrating the concrete material in the form of a manual hydraulically actuated strip (8), said means cooperating with the above-mentioned spreading plates (6, 7) and being disposed in front of the plates in the working direction of the machine. Moreover, the second spreading plate (7) is provided with extensions (13) that can be laterally extended by manual hydraulic actuation while the thick layer spreading plate (6) includes perpendicular end projections (61) serving to laterally limit the spreading of concrete.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a slip-form paver with a tractor (2) comprised of a machine frame (4) having longitudinal beams (8) which run parallel to the working direction. Traveling devices (14) are arranged on the ends of said longitudinal beams. The slip-form paver also comprises telescopic transverse beams (18) which run perpendicular to the working direction and which are provided for variably adjusting the working width. Working devices which are fastened to the machine frame (4) can be adapted to different working widths. According to the invention, the machine frame (4) comprises a base frame (20) in which the telescopic transverse beams (18) are mounted. In addition, a subframe (24) is arranged under the base frame (20). The distance from the subframe to the base frame (20) can be adjusted. A working device which is subdivided over the working width and which can be adapted to the same without requiring assembly is fastened to the subframe (24).
Abstract:
A site preparation/concrete finishing apparatus (20) for operation in an area having a base surface above which concrete reinforcing elements have been positioned prior to pouring of concrete within the area and for use in finishing concrete poured within the area. The site preparation/concrete finishing apparatus (20) comprises a movable vehicle (22) having at least one lift arm (32), a plurality of specially-tailored wheels (26) for supporting the movable vehicle (22) entirely within the area in continuous contact with the surface and for enabling continuous movement of the movable vehicle (22) relative to the surface absent damage to the concrete reinforcing elements beneath the movable vehicle, and a concrete finishing device connected to the lift arm (32) for fine grading and leveling of the area and for screeding and floating concrete poured within the area. Each wheel (26) of the plurality of wheels includes a hub (110) and a plurality of members (114) extending radially therefrom. Each member (114) includes an arcuate surface proximate the second end. Each member (114) also tapers. The arcuate surface of each member (114) aids in preventing the trapping of a concrete reinforcing member between the base surface and the site preparation/concrete finishing apparatus (20).
