Abstract: An assembly for filtering toilet bowl odors including a first housing respectively disposed in spaced relation to and in fluid communication with the toilet bowl. A conduit connects interiors of the first and second housings in fluid communication with one another. A fan assembly is mounted within said first housing in fluid communicating relation with second housing, via the conduit, and is disposed and structured to define a path of fluid flow extending from an inlet of said second housing, through said conduit and a filter assembly, disposed in the first housing and/or second housing, to the exterior of said first housing, concurrent to activation of the fan assembly.

Abstract: A toilet odor removal system is described, wherein malodorous air in the bowl of the toilet is evacuated by suction through a tube and into the sink drainage system. The system may be used in the construction of new toilets, or may be easily adapted for sale as a kit to retrofit existing toilets. An intake tube may be located under the toilet seat, in connection with a suction device. The suction device may be coupled to an exhaust tube which connects to the sink drainage system below the p-trap of the sink. The exhaust tube may also have a one-way check valve to prevent odors from the sewer system escaping into the ambient air of the bathroom. The odor removal system may also have an automatic means of turning on, such as a sensor or a pressure-activated switch.

Abstract: A toilet is provided which transports malodorous air from the bowl to the sewer line. The tank of the toilet is equipped with a fan which draws air from the bowl through the flush holes, located in the rim of the bowl, into a sealed fan box. An intake tube is used to channel air from the water inlet to the fan box, which leaves the overflow tube unobstructed. Air is diverted out of the fan box through an exit tube which attaches to the siphon at a point behind the water trap. A damper door disposed between the exit tube and intake tube prevents stale air from the siphon or sewer from entering the bowl or tank and escaping. The toilet is powered by a simple fan, such as a 12v/DC fan connected to a power source.
