Abstract: A compressor assembly (120) is provided. Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to compressors used in chiller air conditioning systems for indoor spaces. The disclosed compressors have magnetic bearings (290, 300, 320) that support rotating components. In one embodiment, the compressor comprises a partially segmented thrust bearing (320) stator core (430). Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A retainer device for assembly with an associated shaft by an associated expansion device is disclosed which includes a ring body having a first arcuate leg, a second arcuate leg, a first lug is disposed at one end of the first arcuate leg and a second lug is disposed at one end of the second arcuate leg. The enhanced lugs are adapted to receive the associated expansion device when oriented both axially and radially with respect to the associated shaft.
