Abstract:
A technique which facilitates cleaning of an interior of a pipe via access through a lateral hole in the pipe. The technique utilizes a control bar head coupled with a sweeper system which may be inserted into the pipe through the lateral hole. The sweeper system may comprise a plurality of shiftable sweeper heads which generally align for insertion through the lateral hole and then transition along the interior of the pipe to effectively sweep particles along the interior of the pipe. The sweeper system effectively clears an area of the interior of the pipe to facilitate a more effective seal with a subsequently inserted pipe isolation device.

A device (1) for ensuring continuous circulation in well drilling comprises a tubular body (2), having an axial channel (2) therein, with a lateral opening (3) closed by a removable plug (5). A flapper valve is placed in the tubular conduit, whose shut-off member is movable between a transverse position, in which it closes said axial channel, and a longitudinal position, in which it closes in a pressure-tight manner said lateral opening (3). Advantageously, said device (1) comprises magnetic means (22) to operate on said shut-off member (6) in said longitudinal position and retain it in said longitudinal position with a preset load, and as the latter is exceeded said shut-off member (6) may be moved to said transverse position.

Innenwand (12) des Blechkanals drücken, wenn Aussendeckel (20) und Innendeckel (22) durch eine dafür vorgesehene festziehbare Spannvorrichtung (40) gegeneinandergezogen sind. Aussendeckel (20) und Innendeckel (22) weisen je einen Mittelteil (34,35) mit ins Kanalinnere gewölbtem oder eingesenktem Querschnitt auf. A system for storing pigs (22) and launching them into a pipeline comprises a pig storage barrel (20) having an inlet end and an outlet end and an inside diameter sized to accommodate the pigs (22), the storage barrel (20) including a pig parking chamber (40) for controlling release of the pigs, and a pig launching chamber (60) downstream of the storage barrel (20). The launching chamber (60) is connected to the pipelines (102) so as to be able to launch a pig into the pipeline. The apparatus also includes a hydraulic pig advancing system in fluid communicating with the storage barrel and the launching chamber and a fluid flush system in fluid communication with the storage barrel chamber and the launching chamber. The method includes flushing the storage barrel (20) and the launching chamber (60) after each launching cycle so that between launchings the system is filled with hydraulic fluid.

The invention relates to a form part for a ventilation ductwork system, comprising a substantially integral duct wall (2) surrounding a flow passage. The installation of cleaning doors required for the cleaning of the ductwork system can be carried out more easily and the air-tightness of the doors can be improved in such a manner that a piece (3) is detached from the duct wall (2) of the form part according to the invention for forming a cleaning opening in the ventilation ductwork system, and said detached piece (3) of the duct wall is supported by means of a gasket to the opening in the duct wall (2) so as to form a cleaning door.

A method for inhibiting the formation of carbonyl compounds in a gas cylinder containing carbon monoxide wherein the gas cylinder is in fluid communication with a valve assembly wherein the valve assembly connects to a threaded opening in the gas cylinder by a threaded assembly by coating interior and exterior components of the valve assembly selected from the group consisting of an inlet port, an outlet port, a diaphragm and a lower spindle with an amorphous hydrogenated silicon compound. A valve assembly containing the coated interior and exterior components is also disclosed.

A spray booth especially adapted for painting operations having a dry filter module with features for allowing changing of the filters quickly and in a contained environment, which reduces exposure to non-authorized and non-properly-protected personnel. A carousel-like filter module flips a wall to move dirty filters into a containment space while placing clean filters in position to continue the painting process. The process and device in accordance with this invention is safe, repeatable, predictable, and capable of changing a large number of filters in a short period of time, for example, during lunch break or other short break in the painting operation.
