    Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to using a plurality of antennas radially distributed about a rotatable turret to sequentially scan a field of view. Each of the plurality of antennas directs an electromagnetic beam and senses its reflection along a principal direction defined by a roll position of the rotatable turret and an azimuthal beam angle. The principal directions of the antennas have a unique azimuthal beam angle relative to a boresight (i.e., axis of rotation). As the turret rotates, each of these antennas is sequentially turned on at a first roll position and off at a second roll position. This enables electromagnetic beams generated by the antennas to pan a scene both in azimuth and roll. An image processor then determines, based on the reflected signals received by the plurality of antennas, directions to and/or velocities of objects within the scanned field of view.

    Abstract: An automatic zoom-sensing riflescope display adapter (RDA) system can illuminate an iris of a user with a beam from a light emitter. The RDA system can activate a display which includes at least one graphical element visible by the user through an eyepiece. Additionally, the RDA system can focus an image of the iris on a sensor.The RDA system can determine a diameter of the iris from the image of the iris using an iris analyzer. The RDA system can develop a calibration table that correlates the diameter of the iris to a zoom level of an optical scope. The RDA system can estimate the zoom level of the optical scope from the diameter of the iris via the calibration table. Additionally, the RDA system can adjust, to match the zoom level, a font size of the at least one graphical element of the display.

    Abstract: A system for combat training is presented. The system comprising: one or more marking units associated with firearms in training, one or more tracking units associated with one or more units in training and a server system. The marking units comprise a positioning unit, a rangefinder unit and a communication unit, and are configured to transmit data indicative of position and line-of-sight upon simulated operation of the firearm. The tracking units comprise a positioning unit, alert unit, and communication unit, are configured to transmit data on position, and operate said alert unit, in response to input communication indicating a hit signal, to for generating impact alert. The server system is configured for monitoring positions of the marking units and the tracking units, and in response to input communication indicating a simulated shot being fired, the server unit determines location of the marking unit and line-of-sight of a simulated shot and determines impact condition associated with one or more tracking units to generate and transmit the hit signal to the respective one or more tracking units.
