Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel control system for a marine vessel. The control system has an interface to receive data identifying the marine vessel and data identifying a voyage to be undertaken by the marine vessel. There is also a memory to store computer program code to implement a predictive model and parameter values for the predictive model, the parameter values resulting from an optimisation of the predictive model using historical data for a plurality of marine vessels and a plurality of voyages. The control system also has a processor. The processor is arranged to execute the computer program code to: instantiate the predictive model using the parameter values; supply the data identifying the marine vessel and the data identifying the voyage to be undertaken by the marine vessel to the predictive model; and apply the predictive model to determine a fuel consumption estimate for the marine vessel for the voyage. A fuel supply system determines an amount of fuel to be supplied to at least one fuel tank of the marine vessel based on the fuel consumption estimate.

Abstract: Methods, systems, devices, and tangible non-transitory computer readable media for route planning are provided. The disclosed technology can include accessing travel data that includes information associated with a starting location and a destination. Routes from the starting location to the destination can be determined and each of the routes can be associated regions. Travel costs associated with travelling from the starting location to the destination via each of the routes can be determined. Convenience costs associated with an availability of facilities within the regions associated with each of routes can also be determined. A travel route can be selected from the routes. The travel route can be selected based in part on the travel costs, the convenience costs, and travel criteria. The travel criteria can be associated with travel preferences. Furthermore, route data that can include information associated indications based in part on the travel route can be generated.

Abstract: An automated steering device is provided usable in conjunction with power equipment machines. By way of example, the automated steering device can provide user-assisted steering for a power equipment machine to maintain tight parallel paths. The user-assisted steering can be defined relative to an initial vector traversed through user directed operation of the power equipment machine, independent of or at least in part independent of a predefined area of operation for the power equipment machine. Position location data refined by local terrestrial positioning system correction devices, or onboard rotational correction devices can be provided to obtain high positioning accuracy, and minimal path deviation. As a result, highly accurate pathing can be provided by way of the disclosed automated steering devices.

Abstract: In some implementations, a route selection system obtains a first scheduled time for a first event at a venue for a passenger of an autonomous vehicle. The system determines whether the autonomous vehicle will arrive at the venue by the first scheduled time. The system obtains, in response to a determination that the autonomous vehicle will not arrive at the venue by the first scheduled time, a second scheduled time for a second event at the venue. The system determines a route to the venue based on one or more preferences of the passenger, one or more preferences of an operator of the autonomous vehicle, or any combination thereof, wherein the determined route is configured for arrival of the passenger at the venue after the first scheduled time and at or within a time period before the second scheduled time.
