A method and system for correcting mass flow rate measurements relating to a conveyor used to move a stream of first component material portions to and through a mixing station in which a second component material is dispensed in a predetermined mass percentage of the mass of the first component material portions. The correction of the measurements is adapted to correct for inaccuracies that arise in the measurements due to, for example, differences in the first component material portions properties, differences in the second component material properties, environmental conditions, drift of electronic instruments, and changing conditions that occur during extended use of an upstream conveyor that delivers first component material portions to the mixing station.

According to an embodiment of a method for measuring feed flow, feed is moved through a flexible pipe using a flexible auger operably positioned within the pipe. Feed flow through a metered section ( 309 ) of the flexible pipe is metered using a feed meter ( 304 ) attached to the flexible pipe. The feed meter includes load cell ( 312 ) configured to detect strain induced by feed mass within the metered section ( 309 ). Metering feed includes providing a measure of mass flow of the feed, using the load cell ( 312 ), when the feed moves through the metered section ( 309 ).

A gravimetric metering device (1) which is provided to add an additive material to a polymer material, comprises: - a hopper (3) which can contain the additive material, - a supply member (5) which is provided to transport the additive material which is discharged from the hopper (3) towards the polymer material, and - a first and a second weighing element (16, 17) which are provided to detect the weight of the additive material discharged from the gravimetric metering device (1). A control unit (11) determines, on the basis of the weight detected by the first weighing element (16), the flow rate of additive material which is discharged from the gravimetric metering device (1) by consequently regulating the supply member (5) and controls the correct operation of the first weighing element (16) by means of the second weighing element (17) by comparing, at the start and at the end of a cycle for charging the hopper (3) with the additive material, the weight detected by the first weighing element (16) with the weight detected by the second weighing element (17).

Es wird eine Anlage zum gravimetri sehen Zusammenführen einzelner Schüttgutkomponenten in einen oder mehrere Transportbehälter (5) vorgeschlagen. Die Anlage umfaßt mehrere Vorratsbehältern (12) zur Bevorratung der Schüttgutkomponenten, welche mit je einer Dosiereinheit (3) ausgestattet sind, um die jeweilige Schüttgutkomponente in die Transportbehälter (5) zu überführen. Den Vorratsbehältern (2) ist jeweils eine unterhalb derselben angeordnete Wiegeeinrichtung zugeordnet. Die Transportbehälter (5) sind zwischen den Dosiereinheiten (3) der Vorratsbehälter (2) entlang einer Führung (4) verfahrbar und wirken mit den Wiegeeinrichtungen zusammen. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß die Führung mehrere, in Führungsrichtung hintereinander angeordnete Führungs Segmente (4a, 4b, 4c) aufweist, auf welchen die Transportbehälter (5) geführt sind, und daß zumindest die unterhalb der Dosiereinheiten (3) der Vorratsbehälter (2) angeordneten Führungssegmente von Wäge-/Führungssegmenten (4b) gebildet sind, welche von den übrigen Führungssegmenten oder Wäge-/Führungssegmenten (4a, 4b, 4c) mechanisch entkoppelt sind, so daß sich der Transportbehälter in seiner jeweiligen Dosierposition auf den Wäge-/Führungssegmenten (4b) befindet, um sein Gewicht zu erfassen.

A dual-scale has a housing placed between an upper scale try and a lower scale tray. The housing contains electronic components including one or more displays, a microcontroller, a sensor array and functional buttons. At least one scale tray includes LEDs for illumination and sanitizing functions. The sensor array includes a scale transducer and humidity, temperature, and pH sensors. A lockable cap is included to cover the scale trays. A biometric sensor provides locking and unlocking functions. A position sensor determines the orientation of the displays. The functions of the electronics can be controlled by an external devices, like a smartphone, through a software application.
Abstract:
Components for a composition are provided in supply means, one for each component. Each supply means is weighed. Control means is provided for controlling the supply of each component to an assembly station for the composition, under the control of an overall control means which is also responsive to the weighing devices. The assembled composition at the assembly station can also be weighed, and the weighing output supplied to the overall control device as well. The invention has special application when high accuracy is required, since it is possible to check the decrease in weight of each supply of the components with reference figures and, with the optional weighing device at the assembly station, the increase in weight of the assembled composition.
