Abstract: An adaptive interrogation method is provided, the method including determining application of an adaptive whisper shout interrogation sequence. The determination may be predictive and based on an anticipation of garbled replies or may be reactive and based on a plurality of replies to an initial ATCRBS interrogation, there being interference between the replies such that the replies are unable to be properly decoded. The adaptive whisper shout interrogation sequence includes adapting a subsequent ATCRBS interrogation. The adaptation may be a change in an amplitude difference between an interrogation pulse and a suppression pulse of the subsequent ATCRBS interrogation (i.e. a bin width), as compared to the initial ATCRBS interrogation; or the adaptation may be a change in a power of the subsequent ATCRBS interrogation as compared to the initial ATCRBS interrogation. The subsequent ATCRBS interrogation is then transmitted, and one or more replies are received.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for radar detection. A radar device may obtain prior information about known targets including an azimuth angle of each known target. The radar device may generate an association aware transmit beam pattern toward at least a subset of the known targets based on the prior information. The radar device may detect targets from reflected beams of the association aware transmit beam pattern. Generating the association aware transmit beam pattern may include generating a partial ambiguity graph for the known targets, the graph including at least one edge connecting two known targets wherein a difficulty of disambiguating the two known targets is greater than a threshold. The graph also includes at least two known targets that are not connected by an edge.

Abstract: With the present invention, there is provided an image generation method for displaying images to users according to the data received from at least one radar. Said method comprises the steps of forming a plurality of scan regions by dividing a region that is to be scanned by the radar into azimuth and range lines such that each of the scan regions remains between at least two azimuth lines and two range lines; dividing each scan region into at least two sub-regions; receiving scanning data related to each scan region from said radar; determining the number of sensing point (3) in each sub-region according to the received scanning data; establishing a threshold value for each scan region according to the numbers of the sensing point (3) that form the scan region; for each sub-region, comparing the number of sensing point (3) in the corresponding sub-region with the threshold value of the scan region where the sub-region is located; if the number of sensing point (3) in a sub-region is higher than the threshold value of the scan region where the sub-region is located, then determining that the sensing points (3) in the concerned sub-region belong to a target (4); displaying to a user on a screen the sensing points (3) which are determined to belong to the target (4); if the number of sensing points (3) in a sub-region is lower than the threshold value of the scan region where the sub- region is located, then determining that the sensing points (3) in the concerned sub-region are caused by a clutter; if a new scanning data with respect to each scan region is received from the radar, repeating the steps of establishing a threshold value, comparing the number of sensing point (3) in the sub-region with the threshold value, determining that the sensing points (3) in the sub-region belongs to a target (4) and displaying to a user on a screen the sensing points (3) which are determined to belong to the target (4), and determining that the sensing points (3) in the sub-region are caused by a clutter.
