    Abstract: A configuration for electrically coupling photovoltaic roof tiles together is described herein. Specific embodiments for describing redundant connections between the photovoltaic roof tiles are described. In particular, a junction box on each photovoltaic roof tile includes a two cable terminals that are electrically coupled together by a diode. One of the cable terminals is electrically coupled to two cables that run in parallel to a junction box on another photovoltaic roof tile and is also coupled to internal circuitry of the photovoltaic roof tile. The diode allows the internal circuitry to be bypassed through a bypass cable for safety purposes.

    Abstract: A solar module racking system (100) including a frame (110). The frame includes pre-wired receptacles for rapid assembly of solar modules (105). The frame receives and mechanically supports each solar module. The frame arranges the solar modules in a first planar direction, in a second planar direction, and in a vertical direction that is normal to the first and second planar directions. Each pre-wired receptacles individually and electrically connect each of the solar modules after insertion of that module into the frame. The solar module racking system provides a 2 by 1 by 1 configuration or a 1 by 2 by 1 configuration for the plurality of solar modules corresponding to the first planar direction, the second planar direction, and the vertical direction. A first module and a second module are arranged in the first planar direction or the second planar direction, respectively.

    Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for reducing power loss in a photovoltaic power station. Photovoltaic modules (102) with same or nearby length electric cables (104) are grouped (106) together. Clusters (110) of similar length electric cables (104) are formed using clustering modules (108). The clustered (110) electric cables (104) are connected to compartments (114) of an inverter (112). Similarly, the compartments (114) of each inverter (112) present in the photovoltaic power station receives clustered (110) similar length electric cables (104) from groups (106) of photovoltaic modules (102) comprising same or nearby length electric cables (104). Power loss in the electric cables (104) of the photovoltaic modules (102) is reduced by this way, thereby reducing overall power loss in the photovoltaic power station.
