    摘要: Methods and apparatus for encoding or decoding a first structure within a picture in a video sequence are provided. The method comprises, for a second structure within the first structure, determining an initial motion vector, MV, and MV candidates. The method comprises, for each of the MV candidates, using the MV candidate to derive first and second reference blocks, and a size of the first and second reference blocks may not be equal to a size of the second structure. The method comprises deriving a cost value based on samples from the first and second reference blocks. The method comprises using the cost values from the MV candidates to derive a best MV candidate and using the best MV candidate to derive prediction samples for the second structure.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for video processing. A method for video processing is proposed. The method comprises: determining, during a conversion be-tween a target video block of a video and a bitstream of the video, a cost metric for a target motion candidate for the target video block at least based on a matching cost of the target motion candi-date; and performing the conversion based on a comparison of the cost metric and a further match-ing cost for the target video block. Compared with the conventional solution, the proposed method can advantageously improve the coding effectiveness and coding efficiency.

    摘要: A video decoder may be configured to determine a motion vector and a motion vector precision for a current block; identify a current block template within the current picture; search within a search area for a final reference block template that corresponds to the current block template, wherein to search within the search area, the one or more processors are further configured to: identify an initial reference block template based on the motion vector, search other reference block templates around the initial reference block template using a step size that is set to an initial step size, and iteratively reduce the step size from the initial step size until the step size is set to a final step size that equals the motion vector precision; determine a prediction block for the current block based on the final reference block template.
