    Abstract: Systems and methods for verified messaging through the interaction involving a short-range transceiver, such as a contactless card, a client device and a server are presented. Verified messaging may be provided in the context of using a client device to receive a user identifier from the user's short-range transceiver, such as a contactless card, and sending a messaging request with the user identifier to a server, which may look up client device information and compare with data about the client device accompanying the request. Matching received client device information to stored client device data based on a user identifier obtained from a short-range transceiver provides an enhanced ability to verify that the client device corresponds to the user associated with the short-range transceiver.

    Abstract: Adevice (e.g., an IoT device) includes a first radio (126), and a memory device (227) accessible to the first radio (126). The memory device is configured to store a fingerprinting feature (229) for a specific transmitter device. A second radio (122) and a processor (210) are also included. The processor (210) is coupled to the first and second radios (126, 122). The first radio (126) is configured to extract a fingerprinting feature of a first received wireless signal, determine that the extracted feature matches the fingerprinting feature stored in the storage device, and responsive to the determination that the extracted feature matches the feature stored in the storage device (227), cause the second radio (122) to transition from a lower power state to a higher power state of operation and continue to receive the incoming signal.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for securing data transmissions using distance measurements are disclosed. A mobile device (such as a smart phone) and a base station can use ultra-wideband technology to determine the distance between the two devices. The distance measurements produced by the mobile device and the base station can be compared, directly or indirectly by the mobile device, the base station, and/or an access device to determine whether the mobile device is present at an access device or if the mobile device is not present at the access device (as expected during a relay attack). If the mobile device is not present at the access device, the access device can prevent or cancel an interaction based on the data transfer (e.g., opening a locked door of a secure building in response to receiving an access credential from the mobile device).

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to provisioning of a UE with credentials to access a communication network, such as a SNPN. A DCS maintains a binding of UE onboarding credentials and a UE identifier with network information for the authorized SNPN. After obtaining the network information from the DCS, the onboarding network requests authorization from a provisioning server (190) in the SNPN to initiate a provisioning procedure with the SNPN. The provisioning server (190) verifies that the UE is authorized to access the SNPN and determines the type of provisioning procedure to use (e.g., control plane provisioning or user plane provisioning). If verification is successful, the provisioning server (190) sends a response authorizing the onboarding network to initiate provisioning of the UE and indicating the type of provisioning procedure to use. The authorization procedure prevents rogue or malicious UEs from attempting to initiate a provisioning procedure with the ANPN without prior authorization.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication performed by a wireless communication device. An example wireless communication device includes an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD). The AP MLD transmits a beacon frame to a wireless station (STA) MLD, the beacon frame including a plurality of AP medium access control (MAC) addresses of respective APs belonging to the AP MLD. The AP MLD receives an association request from the STA MLD, the association request including a plurality of STA MAC addresses of respective STAs belonging to the STA MLD. The AP MLD generates, during a handshake operation with the STA MLD, one or more encryption keys configured to encrypt communications between the AP MLD and the STA MLD. The AP MLD verifies the plurality of STA MAC addresses based at least in part on the one or more encryption keys.

    Abstract: Generally described, the presently disclosed technology utilizes durable and non-durable identifiers of a user device to authenticate the user device and cause the user device to be directed to a network intercept portal or captive portal to the user device based on whether additional user input is needed from the user device. A cloud network management server may identify a user device based on a previously stored association between a durable identifier associated with the user device and a non-durable identifier associated with the user device. In response to an indication from the cloud network management server that additional input is needed, a gateway or network management device can indicate to the access point that network access has been granted to the user device, but redirect the user device to network intercept portal or captive portal to obtain the additional user input requested by the cloud network management server.
