    Abstract: A modular electric heating system for use on any flat surface, comprising autonomous modules, where a single module comprises a wear layer, a carrier plate having at least one mounting groove milled longitudinally therein in which a heating element is mounted, and a heating plate placed above said heating element, characterised in that a metal guide (7) is mounted in the mounting groove (6) of the carrier plate (3) and the heating plate is a perforated metal panel (2) where the metal guide (7) is in longitudinal contact with the perforated metal panel (2) and where the metal guide (7) has a heating cable (8) which supplies thermal energy which is distributed through the metal guide (7) and the metal panel (2) in the structure of the module towards the lower thermal resistance, i.e. the wear layer (1).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a heatable wired vehicle laminated glazing configured to be used in front of an on-board-unit able to emit and receive radio-frequency signals in the 5.9 GHz band. The vehicle laminated glazing comprises conductive wires configured to heat the vehicle laminated glazing. These conductive wires have a specific wave factor (WF) defined as the ratio between the wire length (L) over one period and the wavelength (λ). These conductive wires (2) are spaced by a pitch (P) comprised between (formula I). The present invention further concerns a vehicle comprising such vehicle laminated glazing, as well as the use of such vehicle laminated glazing to allow radio-frequency signals in the 5.9 GHz band from and to an on-board-unit. The present invention further concerns an assembly comprising such a vehicle laminated glazing and at least one on-board unit configured to emit and receive radio-frequency signals in the 5.9 GHz band. The present invention further concerns a vehicle comprising such assembly, as well as a method to produce such assembly.

    Abstract: Methods of forming a ceramic matrix, as well as fiber preforms and methods of forming fiber preforms to facilitate formation of a ceramic matrix are provided. The method includes obtaining a fiber preform to facilitate forming the ceramic matrix. The fiber preform includes a fiber layer with a plurality of fibers and a heating element embedded within the fiber preform. The method also includes heating the fiber preform via the heating element embedded within the fiber preform, and depositing matrix material into the fiber preform by embedded wire chemical vapor deposition (EWCVD) of the matrix material during the heating of the fiber preform by the heating element. The chemical vapor deposition of the matrix material within the fiber preform facilitates formation of the ceramic matrix.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a heating product that includes a base layer; a heating layer formed on the base layer, the heating layer formed from: a plurality of electrically conductive wires arranged electrically in parallel to each other; and thermally conductive cording yarns that attach each wire to the first fabric layer by cording embroidery, the cording yarns extending along and cording around the respective wire; and at least one thermally conductive layer formed on the base layer, wherein the wires are connectable to a power source for conducting an electrical current through the wires, thereby generating heat in the wires; and wherein the at least one thermally conductive layer is arranged for substantially uniform heat transfer from the heating layer.
