摘要: Techniques of tracking a user's gaze includes identifying a region of a display at which a gaze of a user is directed, the region including a plurality of pixels. By determining a region rather than a point, when the regions correspond to elements of a user interface, the improved technique enables a system to activate the element to which a determined region is selected. In some implementations, the system makes the determination using a classification engine including a convolutional neural network; such an engine takes as input images of the user's eye and outputs a list of probabilities that the gaze is directed to each of the regions.

The headset may present an image of virtual equipment corresponding to the equipment in accordance with the position information from the equipment and the position information detected for the object.

摘要: A vehicular head-up display (HUD) for displaying an image to a user of a vehicle having a windshield (15) includes an image projector (14) outputting a collimated image and an optical aperture expander. The optical aperture expander includes a light-guide optical element (LOE) (10) having two major external surfaces (30a, 30b). The image projector (14) injects the collimated image so as to propagate within the LOE by internal reflection at the major external surfaces. The LOE also has a set of parallel partially-reflecting internal surfaces (12) which progressively couple out the image illumination from the LOE. The optical aperture expander is deployed such that the image illumination coupled-out of the LOE (12) follows a light path including a reflection from a surface associated with the windshield (15) of the vehicle so as to be visible to the user while the user looks at a scene beyond the windshield.

摘要: The disclosure describes systems of navigating a hazardous environment. The system includes personal protective equipment (PPE) and computing device(s) configured to process sensor data from the PPE, generate pose data of an agent based on the processed sensor data, and track the pose data as the agent moves through the hazardous environment. The PPE may include an inertial measurement device to generate inertial data and a radar device to generate radar data for detecting a presence or arrangement of objects in a visually obscured environment. The PPE may include a thermal image capture device to generate thermal image data for detecting and classifying thermal features of the hazardous environment. The PPE may include one or more sensors to detect a fiducial marker in a visually obscured environment for identifying features in the visually obscured environment. In these ways, the systems may more safely navigate the agent through the hazardous environment.
