摘要: Methods are provided for inducing the remodeling of adipose tissue in patients to improve health as well as the aesthetic appearance of adipose tissue. RNAi techniques are used with transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) and cyclooxygenase 2 (Cox2), both of which have been implicated in disease progression and negative remodeling effects on skin tissues. Administration of two siRNAs targeting TGF-β1 and Cox2 in a single nanoparticle formulation permits entry of the siRNAs into the same cells at the same time and the silencing of target genes in these cells results in favorable remodeling of adipose tissue.

摘要: This invention removes air moisture from inside a hot food container by first straightening the convection air flow rising above hot food, and second redirecting the rising air at a sharp turn, forcing the momentum of the heavier water-laden air to continue a straight trajectory into an absorbent pad or similar material, where the water from the air collides with the absorbent surface and is trapped. In this way, the invention extracts water from the air, before it can condense on food, thereby preventing the food to from becoming soggy. The invention is embodied in a food storage comprising four principal elements: (a) a housing for enclosing hot food, (b) a plurality of parallel passageways mounted inside the housing, (c) an absorbent layer positioned above the plurality of parallel passageways, and (d) a gap between the plurality of parallel passageways and the absorbent layer.

When the latch assembly is moved to the locked position, the latch-locking arm may engage the base and rotate against the rotational force from the latch-locking arm causing the latch button to move against the linear force until the latch button-locking member engages the arm-locking member.

摘要: Processes for venting gas phase olefin polymerization systems are provided. A portion of the reactor overhead can be withdrawn from the reactor to a vent column and contacted with a liquid stripping medium (L) within the vent column to remove at least a portion of the olefin monomer to produce a vent column overhead (G) and a vent column bottoms; recycling the vent column bottoms (rich in the olefin monomer and lean in the carrier gas) to the reactor; determining a L*N to C*G ratio, wherein L is total liquid stripping medium flow to the vent column, N is carrier gas concentration in the reactor overhead, C is the monomer concentration in the reactor overhead, and G is the vent column overhead gas flow. One or more of these flow streams (L, N, C, G) can then be controlled based on the calculated L*N to C*G ratio.

In one aspect, an electrode assembly for submerged arc welding comprises a contact tip portion and an extension portion arranged serially and configured to feed a consumable electrode therethrough. During welding, the contact tip portion is disposed to be distal to an arcing tip of the consumable electrode and the extension portion is disposed to be proximal to the arcing tip of the consumable electrode. The extension portion is configured to electrically insulate the consumable electrode from a work piece during welding with a solid insulating material surrounding the consumable electrode.
