    Abstract: A plate-joinery system includes a chain-saw plate joiner where the cutting mechanism includes a cutting-chain driven about a saw-bar. The cutting mechanism of the chain-saw plate joiner may be advanced on rails to one of a set of predermined depths. The increased recess depth allowed by the chain-saw and the resultant increase in both glueable surface area and mechanical engagement permit high-strength right-angle joints to be made with the speed of conventional plate-joinery.     Abstract: A guard as disclosed of use with a woodworking tool such as a jointer having a worktable (14), a cutter head and a guide fence (16) for guiding a workpiece through the jointer. Bisher können Winkelanschläge nicht auf einfache Weise mit Distanzmessgeräten genutzt werden, da ihr Anlegepunkt und damit der Messreferenzpunkt für jeden einstellbaren Winkel ein anderer ist. Bei einem erfindungsgemäßen Winkelanschlag ist das Schwenkgelenk so konstruiert, dass seine Schwenkachse (12) in der Anlegeebene seines Anschlagschenkels (10) liegt, ohne das Anlegen an Werkstücke (13) zu beeinträchtigen und ein, für jeden einstellbaren Winkel, gleichbleibender Anlegepunkt (23) entsteht. Dadurch kann der Winkelanschlag mit einem nur einmal einzustellenden Distanzmessgeräte (21) unabhängig vom eingestellten Winkel an Werkstücken (13) positioniert werden. Darüber hinaus kann ein solcher Winkelanschlag von einzeln arbeitenden Personen als Ausrichthilfe für an seiner Zunge (11) anbringbare Schienen genutzt werden, da es möglich ist, den Winkelanschlag an einer Markierung anzulegen, den Anschlagschenkel dort zu befestigen und dann die Schiene an eine weitere Markierung zu verschwenken.
