Abstract: A road drag implement includes a frame, a hitch assembly, rear wheels and a two grading blades. The frame is supported by the rear wheels and the hitch assembly. The rear wheels and the hitch assembly have articulating support structures that are able to be controllably positioned between a raised transport positions and lowered working positions. A first blade assembly and a second blade assembly are pivotably mounted to the frame. The first blade assembly is in a forward position on the right side of the frame and the second blade assembly is behind the first blade assembly on the left side of the frame. Actuators connect between the frame and each respective blade assembly which are able rotate the blade assemblies between a first retracted position for transport and a second extended position for road work.

Abstract: A trenchless system for subsurface delivery of a polymer-based mesh (75) to protect an underground structure is provided. The system includes: a body (100) for moving above the ground and over the underground structure while the system delivers the mesh (75) below the ground; a polymer mesh supply (120) coupled to the body and configured to supply the mesh during the moving of the body; and a ripper assembly (130) coupled to the body and configured to move through the ground in response to the moving of the body without digging a trench and while receiving and delivering the supplied mesh below the ground and above the underground structure to protect the underground structure. In an embodiment, the polymer mesh supply includes a polymer mesh spool configured to rotate during the moving of the body in order to supply the mesh. A method of trenchless subsurface delivery of the mesh is also provided.

Abstract: A method of stabilizing a small to mid-sized skid steer vehicles (12) used to grade earth using a dozer blade (46) in conjunction with GPS (42) automatic grade control equipment. The main arm (48) of the skid steer is retained at a specific height and the hydraulic (32) controlling the main arm is limited. The height of the dozer blade is raised and lowered by affecting the pitch axis of movement of the blade (46) and not by raising and lowering the main arm (48). The device is most suited to skid steer vehicles capable of using a variety of interchangeable front end accessories in addition to a dozer blade.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and apparatus of forming two or more waving rip lines across a sloping surface, wherein the rip lines are formed at substantially right angles to the downward direction of the sloping surface and have a plurality of peaks and troughs. The troughs form catchment areas for water and the peaks separate the troughs limiting the amount of water stored in the catchment areas. Each of the rip lines can be substantially parallel with each other or offset relative to an adjacent rip line. The plurality of waving rip lines contribute to the stability of the landform, long term conservation and maintenance of the landform, and thereby encourage establishment and growth of vegetation in the remediation process.
