    Abstract: A presente invenção apresenta um suporte para risers completamente integrado ao Balcão de Risers de um FPSO, que atenda tanto aos risers rígidos quanto aos flexíveis. O conceito base estabelecido para este novo suporte de risers apresenta uma versatilidade que permite a utilização de risers flexíveis ou rígidos com alguma variação em seus diâmetros internos e que a interligação possa ser realizada por bombordo ou boreste. O Tubo Suporte Unificado Diverless (TSUDL), objeto desta invenção, é caracterizado por compreender um cone superior (1), um tubo guia (2) e um centralizador (3), responsável pela centralização do hang-off adaptor e travamento de enrijecedor de curvatura (11). A aplicação do TSUDL pode promover a redução de comprimento de dutos rígidos do arranjo submarino por permitir interligações por keelhauling, além de viabilizar a otimização da campanha de interligação de risers rígidos e a aceleração do Ramp-up das novas UEPs.

    Abstract: Safe dynamic handover between MPD and well control operations provides the ability to automate MPD, well control, and transitions therebetween while maintaining the wellbore in a dynamic fluid state at all times. In the event a kick is taken, a safe dynamic handover from MPD to well control operations is made, unknown formation fluids within the wellbore are circulated out of the wellbore, and a safe dynamic handover from well control operations to MPD is made while maintaining the wellbore in dynamic fluid state, without ever going static with respect to fluids within the wellbore. Because the wellbore remains dynamic, the formation of gels is prevented, thereby preventing pressure spikes during the start-up of the mud pumps and improving pressure transmission throughout the well system. Pressure may be more precisely managed during all phases of MPD, well control, and transitions therebetween.

    Abstract: A spool (8) includes a drum (11) rotatably supported on an axle shaft (18) and flanges (22) integrally formed with opposite ends of the drum. The drum has a continuous groove (38) on the outer surface of the drum to guide the movement of the safety wireline. Both of the flanges include an opening, internal threads (12) circumscribing the opening, and a plurality of mechanical brakes. Each of the mechanical brakes includes a rotor (13) rotatably supported on the axle shaft of the spool and a pawl (14) arranged within the opening. The pawl is pivotally linked (15) to the rotor such that when the rotation of the axle shaft is in a direction and at a rotation speed that exceeds a threshold then the pawl is moved by centrifugal force and engages with the internal threads circumscribing the opening and does not permit the spool to rotate.

    Abstract: A system and method are described for excavation of gravel from a gravel formation including an elongated cylindrical casing surrounding and supporting a rotating auger extending a chosen distance beyond an open end of the casing, and having openings through its upper surface for permitting gravel to enter the casing in addition to entering through the open end thereof, a source of vibration for vibrating the casing, a conveyor for removing material excavated by the system through an opening in the bottom surface of the casing, and a tracked excavator or other suitable vehicle for preventing the casing from rotating and for pushing the casing in a chosen horizontal direction into the gravel formation.

The marine riser is deployed from a floating unit and connected to a lower marine riser package (LMRP) and a blow-out prevention (BOP) stack, and the method comprises: performing a first riser inspection with an inspection tool where the marine riser is in an unconnected well configuration, wherein the inspection tool includes an ultrasonic transducer device, and the first riser inspection comprises: conveying the inspection tool in an internal diameter of the marine riser, detecting information on the marine riser with the inspection tool while conveying the inspection tool through the marine riser, and collecting data with the inspection tool corresponding to the information detected by the inspection tool.

The reel assembly includes a housing, a drum core disposed within the housing, and a splitter flange separating the drum core into a first partition and a second partition. A first conduit is wound on the first partition of the drum core, and a second conduit is wound on the second partition of the drum core. A conduit handler system is utilized to make a connection or test a connection between the first conduit and the second conduit using actuating pistons to apply a compressive or an opposing tensile force on the connection.
