Abstract: A method of sealing a casing comprising the steps of deploying a thin wall tube in the region the casing is to be sealed, melting a low temperature alloy and allowing it to flow into the annulus between the thin wall tube and the casing, and allowing the low temperature alloy to solidify. The thin wall tube may include protrusions on its outer surface, of similar height so as to centralise the thin wall tube in the casing.

Abstract: Closed loop wellbore configurations with unrestricted geometry for accommodating irregular or challenging thermal gradients within a thermally productive formation are disclosed. A working fluid is utilized in the loop for extraction of thermal energy there from. The loop and the unrestricted geometry are achieved using magnetic ranging of independent drilling operations which intersect from an inlet well and outlet well to form an interconnecting segment. In conjunction with the directional drilling, conditioning operations are incorporated to condition the rock face, cool the entire system, activate the wellbore for treatment to optimize thermal transfer inter alia. The significant degree of freedom in wellbore configuration is further optimized by the absence of mechanical s. -·*> impediments such as casing or liners in the heat transfer areas.

Abstract: A dewaxer flow enhancer. The dewaxer flow enhancer provides heat to the crude oil within tubing of a well bore in a drilling operation and collects the wax in a swab cup. The dewaxer flow enhancer includes a body having a head and a dewaxing barrel. The dewaxing barrel delivers heat via an induction heater and includes a tip that forms a path for the dewaxer flow enhancer as it oscillates and reciprocates within the tubing. Once sufficiently heated, wax in the crude oil has a lower viscosity and is collected via a swab cup of the head. An actuator is coupled to the dewaxer flow enhancer via a slickline or e-line and controls the position within the tubing. A controller regulates the heat and sensors detect properties of the crude oil.
