A curing apparatus for thermally processing thin films on low-temperature substrates at high speeds is disclosed. The curing apparatus includes a strobe head, a strobe control module and a conveyor control module. The strobe control module controls the power, duration and repetition rate of a set of pulses generated by a flash lamp on the strobe head. The conveyor control module along with the strobe control module provide real-time synchronization between the repetition rate of the set of pulses and the speed at which the substrate is being moved under the strobe head, according to the speed information.

Elongated finned backup rollers have multiple magnetized fins for rolling contact with a moving endless, flexible, thin-gauge, heat-conducting, magnetically soft ferromagnetic casting belt for guiding and stabilizing the belt against thermal distortion while it moves along the mold cavity being heated at its reverse surface by flowing liquid coolant. Each finned backup roller includes an elongated, non-magnetic shaft (10) rotatable around its axis (22) and having multiple annular fins (26) of magnetically soft ferromagnetic material fitted onto the shaft spaced along the shaft. The fins have circular perimeter rims (28) for rolling contact with the reverse surface (34) of a belt (40). Intervening collar-shaped reach-out permanent magnets (30) are mounted on the shaft between successive fins. The fins and reach-out collar magnets alternate in sequence along the length of the roller. The reach-out collar magnets are magnetized in a direction parallel with the axis of the roller.

Eine erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung zum Ausrichten von in Beschichtungsmittel (06) enthaltenen magnetischen oder magnetisierbaren Partikeln (P) umfasst einen Zylinder (26), welcher im Bereich seines Außenumfangs matrixartig eine Anzahl von n x m (in Worten n mal m; mit n, m 0 1) magnetische Felder bereitstellenden Elementen (24), kurz Magnetelementen (24) umfasst, welche hintereinander in m in Umfangsrichtung des Zylinders (26) verlaufenden Spalten und nebeneinander in n achsparallel verlaufenden Zeilen angeordnet sind, wobei in mehreren der Spalten von in Umfangsrichtung hintereinander angeordneten Magnetelementen (24) je mindestens eines der Magnetelemente (24) unabhängig von mindestens einem weiteren Magnetelement (24) derselben Spalte in axialer Richtung verstellbar an einem ein- oder mehrteiligen Zylinderkörper (29) des Zylinders (26) angeordnet und/oder gelagert ist, und wobei die Magnetelemente (24) dieser Spalten jeweils als Gruppe an oder auf einem gemeinsamen Tragelement (31) gelagert und mit dem Tragelement (31) als Gruppe gemeinsam und unabhängig von den Magnetelementen (24) einer benachbarten Spalte bezüglich ihrer axialen Lage im oder am Zylinder (26) variierbar sind. The invention relates to a method for producing a partially shaped electrically conductive structure on a carrier substrate (16). A latent magnetic image of the graphic form of the electrically conductive structure, composed of magnetic image points and unmagnetic image points is produced on a magnetizable printing form (11) from a digital data set which defines the graphic form of the electrically conductive structure. Magnetic particles having an electrically conductive surface, which are attracted by the magnetic image points, are arranged and fixed on the carrier substrate (16) through the latent magnetic image, towards the graphic form of the electrically conductive structure by means of the printing form (11). The invention also relates to a multi-layered body which is produced according to said method.

The invention relates to a device, system and method for producing magnetically induced visual effects in coatings, particularly security or decorative features, containing orientable magnetic particles. The device comprises a printing unit, an orientation means, a substrate-guiding system and a photocuring unit. The printing unit is arranged to print with the coating composition an image on a first side of a substrate. The orientation means comprises a magnetic field generating element for orienting the magnetic particles in the coating composition of the printed image. The substrate-guiding system is arranged to bring and hold the substrate in contact with the orientation means. The photocuring unit irradiates the image printed on the substrate to at least partially cure the coating composition of the image while the substrate is still in contact with the orientation means. The photocuring unit is configured such that its emission of thermal radiation energy is such limited as to not heat the orientation means to an average temperature T1 exceeding 100°C.
Abstract:
Methods of producing and/or analyzing spectroscopically labeled proteins, e.g., proteins site-specifically labeled with NMR active isotopes, spin-labels, chelators for paramagnetic metals, and the like, are provided. The labeled proteins are produced in translation systems including orthogonal aminoacyl tRNA synthetase/tRNA pairs. Methods for assigning NMR resonances, e.g., methods using isotopically labeled proteins, are also provided.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bedrucken von Bogenmaterial (1) und insbesondere von Papier (2). Dabei wird das mit magnetisierbaren Partikeln (3) flächig versehene Bogenmaterial (1) relativ zu einem magnetischen Druckkopf (4) an diesem vorbeigeführt, wobei die magnetisierbaren Partikel (3) durch den magnetischen Druckkopf (4) in einem vorbestimmten Druckmuster (5) magnetisiert werden. Anschliessend werden Farbpigmente (6) mit magnetischen Eigenschaften dem Bogenmaterial (1) zugeführt, wobei sich die Farbpigmente (6) im Bereich der magnetisierten Partikel (3) an das Bogenmaterial (1) anlegen.

본 발명은 자기장을 발생하는 자기장 발생부재 상부에 자기장의 영향을 받으면 자화의 성질을 갖는 자기 유도부재를 조립하여 자기장 발생부재의 자기장을 자기 유도부재의 자기 유도 역활에 의해 자기 유도부재 상부의 기재에 전달하되 자기 유도부재 상부에 부조 방식으로 형성된 윤곽부와 기재와의 이격 거리에 의한 자속 밀도 차이로 기재의 인쇄층에서 자성 입자가 서로 달리 분포되면서 다양한 자성 패턴을 인쇄하도록 하는 것이다.
