    Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing a video signal with an audio signal, including: extracting at least one parameter of an audible attribute of the audio signal, the audible attributes including temporal characteristics of the audio signal such as audio intensity, beats, pitch energy, meter, auditory novelty, onset timing and sub sections, and functions applied to any of the attributes in the list; and applying manipulations on the visual signal, wherein parameters of the manipulations are affected by the parameters of the audible attributes. The system and method may further include calculating a probability density function based on the audible attribute, wherein the manipulations are applied based on the probability density function.
