Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of forming a graphene-based structure on a textile substrate, including providing one or more layers of graphene oxide on the textile substrate and directing a laser beam onto the one or more layers of graphene oxide to reduce at least a portion of the graphene oxide and form one or more respective porous layers of reduced graphene oxide (rGO). Further contemplated is a product, being a textile-based and graphene-based structure including a textile substrate and porous layers of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) having substantially uniform porosity. The invention can be used in producing 'smart wearables', in particular clothing incorporating sensing and/or energy storage means (such as supercapacitor devices).

A method of synthesizing a layered double hydroxide is provided. The method includes forming the layered double hydroxide in presence of a steric repulsion agent, wherein amount of the steric repulsion agent is varied to control size of the layered double hydroxide formed.
Abstract:
A nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided by the present invention includes: an electrode body (80) having a flat shape and including a positive electrode and a negative electrode (60); a square-shaped battery case (30) configured to accommodate therein the electrode body (80) and a nonaqueous electrolyte; and a negative electrode collector terminal (94) placed in the battery case (30) and connected to the negative electrode (60) of the electrode body (80). The negative electrode collector terminal (94) is mainly made of copper or copper alloy. An insulator film (10) configured to insulate the battery case (30) from the electrode body (80) is placed between an inner wall (30a) of the battery case (30) and the electrode body (80). The insulator film (10) is joined to the inner wall (30a) of the battery case (30), and the insulator film (10) is placed so as not to make contact with the negative electrode collector terminal (94).
