The present invention is to provide, for each nozzle, a temperature sensor that detects a temperature change accompanying driving an ejection heater. In the temperature change, an inflection point appears when an ink is ejected normally. Then, calculated is a summation of absolute values of the differences between a value of second derivative in each point of temperature data in a predetermined section including the timing at which this inflection point appears and a first threshold value based on the second derivative when an ejection-failure occurrence. Since the second derivative when the ejection-failure has occurred does not vary virtually, the summation becomes to be approximately zero. Therefore, appears clearly the difference with the time of normal ejection. From the magnitude relation between the summation and a second threshold value predetermined with respect to the summation, it can be determined whether the normal ejection is being carried out for every nozzle.

A method and machine for obtaining bent glass sheets. Glass sheets are brought to their softening temperature, then they are caused to travel over a shaping bed of advancing elements for advancing them which are arranged along a path having a circular arc-shaped profile, the sheets progressively assuming their shape on entering the bed and over a first shaping zone, then being hardened by tempering or cooling in a second zone of the bed until they leave, and then the bent glass sheets thus obtained are recovered. The shaping bed is produced with a profile extending in a circular arc of more than 90°, and, on leaving the shaping bed, the hardened glass sheets are moved in a direction opposite that in which they were fed in.

In accordance with the present invention, a portable wave-swash & coastal-wind energy harvester, once placed on a sea coast in the swash zone captures the mechanical energy contained in: (a) waves in the swash-zone, and (b) coastal-wind. Energy is extracted through: (a) wave turbines, (b) wind turbines, and (c) wave floats. A rotational transmission system with one-way clutches transmits torque to an alternator, while flywheels attached to the axles maintain steady rotation of axles. A wave funnel faces the waves and causes the wave uprush to converge toward wave turbines. A buoyancy chamber at the bottom produces reduction of weight of the portable wave-swash & coastal-wind energy harvester when water in the chamber is emptied and thereby enhances maneuverability of the unit on land and in water, while a stabilization tank at the top when filled with water provides extra weight and stability of the unit in its operating location.
