The circuit breaker may have a visualization window oriented to observe whether excessive cable is projecting out of the lug, so as to confirm compliance with electrical code over surface spacing requirements. In some embodiments, the circuit breaker lugs are vertically oriented above its front cover surface in a receptacle portion of the housing. The receptacle may be constructed for selective lug orientation in horizontal or vertical positions by the installer.

The present invention provides methods and compositions for expanding the scope of chemical reactions that can be performed during nucleic acid-templated organic syntheses. In particular, nucleic acid-templated chemistries are used to produce reaction intermediates attached to an oligonucleotide that can be used to identify the reaction intermediates and/or the resulting reaction products. The reaction intermediates then are reacted with free reactants (for example, reactants that are difficult or impractical to couple to an oligonucleotide) to produce a reaction product. This approach expands the scope of reagents useful in nucleic acid-templated syntheses to reagents that do not need to be or cannot be tethered to an oligonucleotide. The reagents, however, still permit the synthesis of reaction products attached to oligonucleotides that can be used to identify the reaction products.

This allows a specific measured value in each site to be easily known, and the relationships between the blood pressure values in the four limbs are intuitively understood from the shape of the rectangle.

An appropriate maintenance such as appropriate registration adjustment can be executed even if a status for the maintenance cannot be acquired from a printing apparatus. Specifically, if a status cannot be acquired from the printer, a printer driver refers to a history of number of past instructions for registration adjustment stored in a host computer to determine whether simplified registration adjustment or detailed registration adjustment is to be executed. If the printer driver does not detect any record of executed registration adjustment, that is, if the printer driver detects that no registration adjustment has been executed, then it determines that the simplified registration adjustment is to be executed. If the printer driver detects any record of executed registration adjustment, it determines that the detailed registration adjustment is to be executed. Thus, the invention enables the correct guidance and the corresponding appropriate registration adjustment even if the status cannot be acquired.

A billing system that allows a consumer to order products from computers connected to the Internet, wherein the consumer is automatically billed for the ordered good or service by its telephone service provider. When a consumer orders a product over the Internet, a plug-in component of the consumer's computer establishes an Internet connection to a billing server. A billing server component transfers an encrypted version of the product to the plug-in component. The plug-in component then disconnects from the Internet and establishes a point-to-point (PPP) connection with the billing server. During the PPP connection, the billing server component transfers an access key assigned to the order to the plug-in component so that the plug-in component may decrypt the product. The consumer is charged a unit rate or “drop-charge” for the product by the telephone service provider when the PPP connection is established using a premium telephone number assigned and administered by the telephone service provider.

An oil circulating device for an internal combustion engine including a separating-decanting device, a cylinder housing, a pressurized oil feeding pipe circulating pressurized oil to mobile parts of the engine, and a siphon-forming oil return circuit. The oil return circuit includes a canula with an upper end that opens into the separating-decanting device to collect therein decanted oil and a lower end immersed in an oil tank opening freely into a plane located between the upper and lower ends of the canula. The tank includes an insert tightly inserted in a passageway formed through a wall of the pressurized oil feeding pipe, the insert forming simultaneously a closure plug for the oil feeding pipe and for an oil tank.

A fuel vapor storage canister for adsorbing fuel vapor evaporated from a fuel tank of an automotive vehicle. The fuel vapor storage canister includes a casing provided with charge and purge ports at its first end and an atmospheric port at its second end. At least first and second fuel vapor adsorbent layers are respectively located near the first and second ends of the casing. In this arrangement, the first fuel vapor adsorbent layer is larger in cross-sectional area perpendicular to flow direction of fuel vapor than the second fuel vapor adsorbent layer. The first and second fuel vapor adsorbent layers respectively include first and second granular fuel vapor adsorbents. The first granular fuel vapor adsorbent has a microporous structure, while the second granular fuel vapor adsorbent has a macroporous structure.

A hot combustion chamber (CC) is designed to completely extend the combustion process over 80% to 90% of the cycle period of an internal combustion engine. The long time period combustion (LTPC) provides a large period of time for control of required fuel/air requests and ignition. The CC is supplied with variable quantities of high pressure air from an energy conserving air compressor (AC) through a combustion chamber supply (CCS) and exhales precisely timed expandable combustion products to a two cycle piston (TCP) or rotary drive. The invention solves past problems associated with ignition timing, inefficient combustion, mechanical efficiency and pollution. This CC design makes possible an engine-system for use in transportation vehicles that provides energy storage in a hybrid configuration.
