A method for superheated glycerin combustion (SGC) combines fumigation and SGC to effect greater fuel efficiency and reduce exhaust gas pollutants from a compression ignition engine such as a diesel engine. The invention utilizes the fumigant method by combining two gases (dimethyl ether and propane) which autoignite prior to the injection of the liquid glycerin water solution (GWS) fuel. This pre-combustion of the fumigant gases combined with the engine's compression of the combustion chamber gases is managed to attain a supercritical combustion chamber environment into which the liquid GWS fuel is injected. This targeted supercritical combustion chamber environment causes the GWS fuel to first vaporize the water which leaves the glycerin, prior to combustion, as highly dispersed monomers within the combustion chamber which autoignite similar to a “homogenous charge compression ignition” (HCCI) event resulting in significantly greater efficiency and negligible exhaust gas pollutants.

The present invention is a formable dental treatment tray utilizing poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) and a gelatinous active. Blending of the active is accomplished by mixing the Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) with an active ingredient, such as a peroxide like hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide, sodium perborate, or sodium percarbonate, usually also with water or an appropriate organic solvent. Peroxide concentrations in these new gels can reach a 30% concentration of hydrogen peroxide while maintaining a shelf life of six months at room temperature without developing peroxide decomposition. The gels are applied to an appropriate backing and dried to a gelatinous state. In use, the active is hydrated and regains adhesiveness. Then the tray is pressed and formed around a user's dental arch to form the customizable tray. A database query for a set of available channels in a spectrum (e.g., broadcast spectrum, etc.) during a time period can be transmitted from the whitespace device to a regulatory authorized database system. The database query includes data that specifies a set of channels used by the whitespace device during a previous time period prior to the time period. Responsive to the database query, a response can be received at the whitespace device from the regulatory authorized database. The response indicates the set of available channels in the spectrum during the time period, where the available channels are unassigned to licensees at a location of the whitespace device during the time period. Moreover, the whitespace device is configured to opportunistically communicate in the spectrum over one or more of the available channels.

In a wireless communication network, a network control system receives a request for a media session with a wireless communication device. The control system responsively determines if the wireless device is idle and determines if a source base station serving the wireless device can support the media session. If the wireless device is idle and the source base station does not support the media session, then the control system identifies a target base station to support the media session. The control system transfers a first redirect message for delivery to the wireless device through the source base station and transfers a second redirect message for delivery to the target base station. The redirect messages have session information for the media session. The target base station receives an acceptance of the media session from the wireless device and exchanges media for the media session responsive to the acceptance.

A method and system for terminal switching in a wireless communication system are disclosed. A terminal accesses a packet data network through a packet data network gateway, when the terminal switches between gateways, the target gateway to which the terminal switches allocates a new Routing Identifier (RID) to the terminal, and stores a mapping relationship between the Access Identifier (AID) and the new RID of the terminal. The target gateway or the target mobility management entity (MME) of the terminal initiates a registration update request including the new RID of the terminal to the home Identity Location Register (ILR) of the terminal. After receiving the request, the home ILR of the terminal updates the stored AID-RID mapping information of the terminal according to the new RID of the terminal, and initiates a notification for updating the RID of the terminal to the opposite gateway and/or the opposite MME.

A base station's neighbor list may become outdated as nearer base stations are deployed. Because mobile devices report non-unique identifiers of surrounding base stations, a serving base station may confuse a newer neighboring base station with an out-of-date neighboring base station having the same non-unique identifier. The base station may attempt to hand over the mobile device to the wrong base station based on its outdated neighbor list. The mobile device may notify the serving base station of the failure and the associated non-unique identifier. When again attempting to hand over a mobile device to the target base station having that non-unique identifier, the serving base station may, based on knowing the previous handover failed, request the mobile device to provide the unique identifier of the target base station. If the unique identifier does not match the information in the neighbor list, the base station can update the neighbor list.

In a method in a central node of a cellular radio network the central node is adapted to deciding if a mobile station connected to the cellular radio network via a first radio access technology controlled by the central node is to be moved to another radio access technology when a circuit switched call of the mobile station is ended. It is assumed that the cellular radio network is adapted to use a fallback to circuit switched procedure. First it is decided that a CS call for a particular mobile station has ended. Then in it is checked if the CS call was the result of a fallback to CS procedure. The central node then decides if the mobile station is to be moved to another radio access technology based at least partly on the, i.e. if the CS call was a result of a CS fallback procedure.

The disclosure discloses a method and system for controlling access to a shared network. In both the method and the system, a core network node may send an overload indicator capable of distinguishing PLMNs to an access network node when the core network node is overloaded; and the access network node may learn a PLMN over which access control needs to be performed according to the overload indicator received. The method and the system of the disclosure distinguish the PLMNs in performing access control according to an actual situation of overload of the network node caused by a PLMN sharing the network, ensuring the fairness in performing access control over terminals of all PLMNs sharing the network. Therefore, the problem of unfairness in performing access control over terminals of different PLMNs in a network sharing scenario is solved.
