A tool for testing a double data rate (“DDR”) memory controller to ensure that data strobe transitions are aligned with data eyes to achieve a desired data integrity during data transfers between the memory controller and the memories. After the memory controller completes its training sequence during the initialization process, the tool sweeps the data strobe transition across the data eye. At each timing step during the sweep, several tests may be conducted to check for integrity of functionality. The tool thus generates a pass/fail margin table. The locations of the data strobe transitions selected by the memory controller during its previously run training sequence are then added to this tool-generated margin table. The result is essentially a pseudo data eye, reconstructed including the data strobe transition with the data eye. An inspection of the location of the data strobe transition with the data eye may be utilized to show the range of timing steps available before the data strobe transition would fail to capture valid data from the incoming data eye.

Reliability-aware scheduling of processing jobs on one or more processing entities is based on reliability scores assigned to processing entities and minimum acceptable reliability scores of processing jobs. The reliability scores of processing entities are based on independently derived statistical reliability models as applied to reliability data already available from modern computing hardware. Reliability scores of processing entities are continually updated based upon real-time reliability data, as well as prior reliability scores, which are weighted in accordance with the statistical reliability models being utilized. Individual processing jobs specify reliability requirements from which the minimum acceptable reliability score is determined. A system and method for performing load balancing of systems in a multi-tenancy computing environment by shifting tenants from an overloaded system to a non-overloaded system. Initially, a determination is made as to whether a first tenant desires an access to an instance of a software application. The same instance of the software application is being accessed by other tenants of a first system. If the tenant desires access to the same instance of the software application, the tenant is created at the first system. The created first tenant and the other tenants exist in a multi-tenancy computing environment that enables the first tenant and the other tenants to access a same instance of a software application. Then, it is checked whether the first system is overloaded. If the first system is overloaded, load balancing is performed as follows. The first tenant is exported from the overloaded first system to a lesser loaded second system. The data containers of the first tenant remain stationary at a virtual storage. The first tenant is enabled to access the same instance of the software application that it was accessing while at the first system, but now using memory resources and processing resources of the second system. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

A fuel supply pump in which even when a tappet slides at high speed, a sliding balance of the tappet is maintained and improved durability is achieved by preventing one-sided contact between the tappet and a cylinder hole. The tappet is configured to have a cylindrical tappet body and a roller, and a cylindrical guide ring is fixed into the cylinder hole. In the tappet body and a cylindrical portion of the guide ring, a tappet side guide portion and a guide ring side guide portion which can be fitted thereto in an axial direction are provided in at least two locations at equal intervals.

Methods and systems are provided for controlling motive flow through an ejector using a pneumatically controlled valve. A valve coupled upstream of an intake ejector may be adjusted based on boost pressure to control motive flow into the ejector from upstream of a compressor. This allows motive flow through the ejector to be controlled based on vacuum needs at low component cost without loss of boost pressure.
