When a catalyst temperature of a catalyst device is at or below a lower limit air-fuel ratio richness control is prohibited. When a first timing, where an estimated value of a NOx storage amount has reached an enrichment start threshold value, and a second timing, based on a set interval time in an enrichment interval time map, are both satisfied, the control is started. The second timing is corrected by multiplying the set interval time by an enrichment interval correction coefficient preset based on the catalyst temperature and a storage ratio of the estimated value of the NOx storage amount to an enrichment start threshold value of the NOx storage amount. The frequency of the air-fuel ratio richness control of a catalyst device configured to recover a purification capacity of a catalyst is reduced, and the catalyst temperature is raised while preventing white smoke development and hydrocarbon slip, to thereby achieve improvement in exhaust gas composition and improvement in fuel efficiency.

Estimating the speed of an aircraft estimates three components of the speed vector (TAS, AOA, SSA) of an aircraft relative to the surrounding air. The static pressure is estimated on the basis of measurements of geographical altitude. A first intermediate variation of a linear combination of the three components of the speed vector of the aircraft relative to the surrounding air is estimated using explicitly the fact that the pressure measured by the static probe is falsified by a known quantity under the effect of the three components of this speed vector of the aircraft relative to the surrounding air. The process then estimates the three components of the speed vector of the aircraft relative to the air by likening the latter to the speed vector of the aircraft relative to an inertial reference frame and by using inertial measurements. The various estimates are fused to provide a final result.

Metal sleeves are used as carriers for the abrasive layer of sawing beads. Such sawing beads are threaded on a steel cord and are separated by a polymer thus forming a sawing cord for sawing of hard and brittle materials such as stone or concrete. These metal sleeves have a large influence on the overall performance as well as on the cost of the sawing cord. The inventors propose the method of metal injection molding to make the metal sleeves in large quantities with an optimized geometry which is not possible with the current methods for making the metal sleeves. Over and above the inventive sleeves are particularly well suited for application of the abrasive layer by means of laser cladding. Beads made by laser cladding on the inventive metal sleeves as well as sawing cords comprising such beads are therefore part of the invention.

The invention relates to a method for modifying the geometry of gear wheel tooth flanks with a tool with a toothing that engages with the gear wheel during a precision machining. A varied profile is produced on the tool over the width of the tool, in that during a dressing procedure a dressing wheel is moved along the tooth flank of the tooth to be dressed. The width of the teeth of the dressing wheel is much smaller than the width of the tool. In order to cover the width of the tool a length must be covered corresponding to a multiple of the width of the teeth of the dressing wheel. After the dressing, the precision machining of the gear wheel is carried out with the tool. Since the dressing wheel is moved with a changing pitch and a changing crossed axes angle relative to the tool, the modification of the tooth flank geometry can be reproduced in the tool. A modification of the crossed axes angle dependent on the helical angle of the tool takes place with equalization of the helical angle of the tool changing over the width of the teeth of the tool.

This document describes automated abdominojugular reflux (AJR) testing. To automate AJR tests, a pressure cuff wrapped around a person's abdomen applies pressure while video of their neck is captured. By way of example, a medical professional wraps a pressure cuff around the person's abdomen and records video of the person's neck using a smartphone, which communicates with the pressure cuff to synchronize the application of pressure with video capture. The video is processed to detect and track the response of jugular venous pulse (JVP), which is compared to AJR test thresholds to determine test results. While determining JVP, and thereby results of AJR tests, from reconstructed videos may not result in data that is as accurate as invasive intra-heart tests, it requires little if any risk to patients and is easy for medical professionals to perform. Further, these techniques enable AJR tests to be performed automatically and without relying on estimates made by skilled medical professionals.

For example, sleep onset latency can be the amount of time it takes for the user to fall asleep after the user attempts to go to sleep (e.g., goes to bed). The mobile device can determine when the user intends or attempts to go to sleep based on detected sleep ritual activities. Sleep ritual activities can include those activities a user performs in preparation for sleep. The mobile device can determine when the user is asleep based on detected sleep signals (e.g., biometric data, sounds, etc.). In some implementations, the mobile device can determine recurring patterns of long or short sleep onset latency and present suggestions that might help the user sleep better or feel more rested.
