An object of the present invention is to create, from a titanium alloy and an FRP prepreg, a composite of a titanium alloy and an FRP material that is suitable for bolt fastening. The composite can bring out excellent characteristics in CFRP members in mobile electronic-electric devices, mobile equipment, medical instruments, marine devices and the like. It has been found that titanium alloy having a special constant surface shape adheres strongly with an epoxy adhesive. In a composite obtained using this technique to integrate a titanium alloy member as a cover material and a CFRP material, the metal alloy portion deforms and disperses locally strong forces so that the CFRP material is not damaged, even when the composite is assembled to another metal member through bolt-fastening. As a result, the composite is expected to be effective for applications in mobile equipment or mobile device casings, where lightweightness, corrosion resistance, toughness and ease of assembly are required.

An assembly and method for gravitationally separating gold from particles, and specifically for separating small components of gold, less than 1 millimeter from small particles. A series of sieves having graduated mesh sizes, and arranged in a sequential, stacked configuration sieves the aggregate of large particles and larger components of gold. The remaining small particles and smaller components of gold fall into a container. A pressurized column of fluid is forced into the container. The fluid has sufficient flow velocity to suspend the lighter small particles, but insufficient flow velocity to support the denser, high specific gravity gold. Gold has a large specific gravity relative to the fluid and particles. Gravity causes the gold to falls into a transparent collection conduit. Manipulation of valves enables gold to redirect to a collection bin. Fluid flow is shut, enabling small particles to be flushed out through gravitational forces and excess fluid momentum.

The present invention is related to the processing of stereo pairs (images obtained simultaneously from two cameras), namely, to methods and devices for processing stereo images. The technical result of the invention is creation of a method and a device for processing high-resolution stereo images with improved efficiency (performance) using a limited amount of memory with the help of a hardware accelerator for calculating the disparity map using a semi-global stereo matching algorithm with three-stage post processing (peak detection, interpolation and median filtering), which requires placing only a few strings (from 4 to 24 at different stages of calculating) in the local memory, which allows to obtain a high-quality disparity map in real time, and also by placing programmable cores of signal processors into the device, which prepare data for calculating the disparity map (rectification of images) and final processing of data using video analytics algorithms, and the hardware accelerator, which minimizes the transfer between external memory and the device, since the left and right images are fully loaded only once, and the results of the processing are data structures of a much smaller volume.

In telecommunication video calling and videoconferencing systems, it is strongly desirable for remote observers to interact with natural gaze cues. In natural gaze interaction, the camera for a source observer appears to be co-located in the eye region of a destination observer image and vice versa. The appearance of camera co-location is achieved for stereoscopic camera pair that are placed either side of an autostereoscopic 3D display. Such cameras typically provide stereoscopic images that have disparity distributions that provide unnatural perceived head roundness. The present embodiments achieve perceived head roundness that is closer to that expected in natural face to face interaction by modification of perceived local depth in detected regions of the head.
