Thumbnail previews may further link directly to a corresponding file within storage, enabling recipients of a message to easily and efficiently identify and directly access files that are most applicable to the message. Because relevant files are automatically identified, neither the sender nor the recipient(s) are required to search through multiple files to locate applicable files. Accordingly, user burden is reduced and user efficiency is increased, leading to a better overall user experience.

The resource pool includes a first number of storage devices, and the metadata describes configuration information of the storage system. A second number of copies are selected from the plurality of copies based on version information in the plurality of copies, where the second number of copies comprises the metadata in the same version. It is determined whether a relation between the first number and the second number satisfies a predetermined condition. The second number of copies are identified as trusted metadata based on determining the relation satisfies the predetermined condition. With the foregoing example implementation, the metadata in the storage system may be managed with higher reliability.

Embodiments herein describe a hardware based scrubbing scheme where correction logic is integrated with memory elements such that scrubbing is performed by hardware. The correction logic reads the data words stored in the memory element during idle cycles. If a correctable error is detected, the correction logic can then use a subsequent idle cycle to perform a write to correct the error (i.e., replace the corrupted data stored in the memory element with corrected data). By using built-in or integrated correction logic, the embodiments herein do not add extra work for the processor, or can work with applications that do not include a processor. Further, because the correction logic scrubs the memory during idle cycles, correcting bit errors does not have a negative impact on the performance of the memory element. Memory scrubbing can delay the degradation of data error, extending the integrity of the data in the memory.

A predictive model is trained to learn a relationship between one or more user features and one or more tags using historical user feature data. High-dimensional vectors representing each of a plurality of questions are generated and stored in the lookup table. The trained predictive model outputs tags probabilities from the incoming user data, using the learned relationship. A user high-dimensional vector is formed based on the tags probabilities. Similarity metrics are calculated between the high-dimensional vector for the respective question and the user high dimensional vector. One or more of the most relevant question titles are returned to a client device for presentation to a user.

By placing the digital-LVR in parallel to a primary VR (e.g., motherboard VR), the CPU VID is lowered and the processor core power consumption is lowered. The power supply architecture reduces the guard band for input power supply level, thereby reducing the overall power consumption because the motherboard VR specifications can be relaxed, saving cost and power. The power supply architecture drastically increases the CPU performance at a small extra cost for the silicon and low complexity of tuning.

We describe a high coupling-efficiency waveguide grating coupler for use in the optical interface between a planar multimode waveguide and a multimode optical fiber in mode division multiplexed optical communication systems. The multimode waveguide grating coupler can launch light from the different modes of the planar waveguide into the different modes of the multimode optical fiber and vice-versa. A silicon based multimode waveguide grating coupler was used to couple two polarizations of a multimode silicon waveguide into the LP01 mode and LP11 mode from a step index multi-mode fiber (MMF). Simulations of the preliminary design predicted the coupling efficiency to be −4.3 dB for LP01 mode and −5.0 dB for the LP11 mode. Experimental coupling efficiency of −4.9 dB and −6.1 dB were obtained for LP01 and LP11, respectively. The multiplexer can be passive.

By utilizing high power RF generation from fast solid state switches such as Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) combined with the resonance circuit, large inductive voltages can be applied to RF antennas to allow rapid gas breakdown from 1-100 μs. After initial breakdown, the same set of switches or an additional rf pulsed power systems are utilized to deliver large amount of rf power, between 10 kW to 10 MW, to the plasmas during the pulse duration of 10 μs-10 ms. In addition, several methods and apparatus for controlling the pulse power delivery, timing gas and materials supply, constructing reactor and substrate structure, and operating pumping system and plasma activated reactive materials delivery system will be disclosed. When combined with the pulsed plasma generation, these apparatuses and the methods can greatly improve the applicability and the efficacy of the industrial plasma processing.
