Relatively low noise capacitors are provided for surface mounted applications. Electro-mechanical vibrations generate audible noise, which are otherwise relatively reduced through modifications to MLCC device structures, and/or their mounting interfaces on substrates such as printed circuit boards (PCBs). A monocular image often does not contain enough information to determine, with certainty, the depth of an object in a scene reflected in the image. Combining image data and LIDAR data may enable determining a depth estimate of the object relative to the camera. Specifically, LIDAR points corresponding to a region of interest (“ROI”) in the image that corresponds to the object may be combined with the image data. These LIDAR points may be scored according to a monocular image model and/or a factor based on a distance between projections of the LIDAR points into the ROI and a center of the region of interest may improve the accuracy of the depth estimate. Using these scores as weights in a weighted median of the LIDAR points may improve the accuracy of the depth estimate, for example, by discerning between a detected object and an occluding object and/or background.

A modular quantum computer architecture is developed with a hierarchy of interactions that can scale to very large numbers of qubits. Local entangling quantum gates between qubit memories within a single modular register are accomplished using natural interactions between the qubits, and entanglement between separate modular registers is completed via a probabilistic photonic interface between qubits in different registers, even over large distances. This architecture is suitable for the implementation of complex quantum circuits utilizing the flexible connectivity provided by a reconfigurable photonic interconnect network. The subject architecture is made fault-tolerant which is a prerequisite for scalability. An optimal quantum control of multimode couplings between qubits is accomplished via individual addressing the qubits with segmented optical pulses to suppress crosstalk in each register, thus enabling high-fidelity gates that can be scaled to larger qubit registers for quantum computation and simulation.

A framework is provided in which a querying agency can request (via a query entity) encrypted data through a service provider from a data owning agency that stores encrypted data. The framework uses homomorphic encryption. The data may be gallery entities, and each of the elements in the framework operate on doubly-encrypted information. The service provider compares a representation of an encrypted query entity from the querying agency and representations of encrypted gallery entities from the data owning agency, resulting in doubly-encrypted values of a metric between corresponding compared representations. The querying agency gets result(s), based on the metric, which indicate whether it is probable the service provider has data similar to or the same as query data in the query entity. The elements have to perform communication in order for the querying agency or the data owning agency to get cleartext information corresponding to the query entity.

A method of maintaining an index of time-series data records held in a data store comprises identifying one or more time-series data records not currently indexed in a binary tree structure and corresponding with a time range, and creating a new leaf node. Entity resolution (i.e., record linkage) involves the analysis/discovering of datasets that refer to the same real world entity. Analysis typically involves transformation and comparison of different fields of the dataset followed by the application of often domain/data specific logic for determining datasets that refer to the same real world entity (e.g., person). Consider, a bulk mailing of product catalogs to potential customers. Some individuals may have numerous public records that identify the individual differently. Illustratively, several records associated with Jane Doe at her current home address may exist: one record with her name listed as J. Doe, a second record as Jane H. Doe, a third record as Doe, Jane, and a fourth record as Jan Doe (a misspelling). Conceivably, the bulk mailing could unwittingly send multiple catalogs to Jane Doe at her current address, one for each name variation. The entity resolution process described herein can overcome such problems.

The described technology is generally directed towards fine-grained data retention management in stream-based data storage systems, which facilitates specifying retention policy at the event level. A fixed retention period corresponding to a retention end time is associated with each event, and the system keeps the longest of the retention end times for each segment of a data stream. Stream cuts are generated which divide the data stream into fragments, and are the basis for truncating the data stream. Each stream cut contains a stream cut retention end time obtained from the longest retention end time of the retention end times of the active segments. When an attempt to truncate a data stream from a stream cut is made, the attempt is blocked if the stream cut's retention end time is in the future, otherwise truncation from the stream cut point is allowed to proceed.

Solutions for evaluating source code generators use offline and online evaluation stages. Offline evaluation includes separating each of a plurality of input passages of software code into a plurality of constituent blocks. Each code generator (of a plurality of code generators) generates an equivalent block corresponding to each constituent block. A coding score is determined for each equivalent block (for each code generator), and the coding scores are aggregated across the equivalent blocks to provide an aggregate score for each code generator. A ranking of the aggregate scores is used to down-select to a fewer number of code generators for online evaluation. For this stage, the code generators output passages of software code, and user acceptance of the code generators' outputs may be used for further ranking and down-selection. Some examples weight the coding score according to a code utility estimate of the constituent blocks for which equivalent blocks are generated.

When a fluid control valve is opened and closed, the port pressure of fluid control valve is guided to a main relief valve through a first passage, and its maximum pressure is controlled by the main relief valve. At the same time, the port pressure of fluid control valve is guided to pressure compensation valves of the respective fluid control valves. As a result, even when functions having different load pressures are simultaneously operated in the fluid control valves, constant operability can be always secured without depending on the load pressures. In addition, when the fluid control valve, which drives a tilt cylinder for a function of tilting a fork, is opened and closed, the port pressure of the fluid control valve is guided to a secondary relief valve through a second passage, and is also guided to the main relief valve and the pressure compensation valves of the respective fluid control valves through the first passage.
