One method may include receiving, from a network element, a logged measurement configuration including specific configuration content for a user equipment differentiated per and depending on a connection state of the user equipment. The method may also include performing logging of a measurement per the user equipments state according to the specific configuration content in the logged measurement configuration. The method may further include transmitting a report of the logged measurement pertaining to one of the user equipment states, to the network element. The specific configuration content may restrict the logging according to one or more of a network-based selection criteria, and user equipment-based selection criteria.
