Disclosed are personal care compositions, especially hair styling compositions containing:(a) a graft copolymer characterized by having a hydrophilic organic polymeric backbone and hydrophobic macromonomers grafted to said backbone; the hydrophilic polymeric backbone having a Tg of at least about -20.degree. C.; the hydrophobic macromonomers having a carbon based main chain; a Tg of less than about 0.degree. C. and a number average molecular weight of at least about 500; and(b) a hydrophilic solvent preferably selected from the group consisting of water, C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 monohydric alcohols and mixtures thereof.
