    摘要: The invention relates to an electric direct-on-line starting engine comprising a stator and a short-circuit rotor (1) for rotation about a central axis. Said rotor (1) comprises a cage winding (4) in which current is induced by means of corresponding windings of the stator, and a set of permanent magnets (11). In order to protect the magnets (11) from excess heat, the rotor (1) has thermal barriers (12) e.g. in the form of cavities between the cage winding (4) of the rotor (1) and the magnets (11). The thermal barriers (12) reduce the thermal conductivity in a path between the windings (4) and the magnets (11) and thus protect the magnets.
