摘要： An article of footwear comprising: a sole structure; and an upper that includes an expandable warp knit element, the warp knit element formed of unitary knit construction, the warp knit element defining a warp direction and a weft direction, the warp knit element expanded to an expanded position from a contracted position to at least partially define the upper, the warp knit element including a plurality of strap members that are configured to be substantially non-extensible along the warp direction for providing support to the article of footwear; the plurality of strap members including a first strap member and a second strap member, each of the first strap member and the second strap member including a leading edge and an opposite trailing edge; the first strap member and the second strap member being: (i) separated along a portion of a length of the first and second strap members by an opening; and (ii) at least partially joined at a junction; the junction being formed of unitary knit construction with the first strap member and the second strap member; the first strap member including a first leading edge and a first trailing edge, the first trailing edge extending from the junction generally in the warp direction; the second strap member including a second leading edge and a second trailing edge, the second leading edge extending from the junction generally in the warp direction; the second leading edge and the first trailing edge cooperating to define the opening that separates the first strap member and the second strap member; the opening being a slit when the knit element is in the contracted position; the opening having a larger area than the slit when the knit element is in the expanded position.

摘要： A process for manufacturing an article, comprising: receiving a first element comprising a low processing temperature polymeric composition, and/or receiving a second element comprising a high processing temperature polymeric composition; placing at least a portion of each element on a molding surface; increasing a temperature of the entire article to a temperature that is above the melting temperature T m of the low processing temperature polymeric composition (which is 80-135 °C) and below: 1) the creep relaxation temperature T cr ; 2) the heat deflection temperature T hd ; and 3) the Vicat softening temperature T vs of the high processing temperature polymeric composition (which are each at least 10 °C greater than said T m ); and then, while the at least a portion of the article remains on the molding surface, decreasing the temperature of the entire article to below said T m , thereby forming an article. 摘要： Processes and systems for thermoforming articles of wear are disclosed. The process can include utilizing a negative pressure generation system to seal an article in a forming material thereby compressing the forming material onto the outer surface of the article. The process can also include exposing the sealed article to an increased temperature followed by exposure to a decrease temperature, while maintaining the compressive force of the forming material on the outer surface of the article. A positive pressure can also be applied to the sealed article while undergoing the heating and/or cooling steps, which can facilitate the removal of bubbles from the article during thermoforming as well as apply additional compressive force to the outer surface of the article.
