    摘要： Provided is a method for simply generating counter block values without additionally transmitting the counter block values. The method for generating a counter block value required by a scrambler or a descrambler includes the steps of: a) setting up a counter of a message to a predetermined initial value, when a counter block to be scrambled or descrambled is in an initial part of the message; b) storing a Common Interleaved Frame (CIF) count value corresponding to the initial part of the message in a buffer, when the counter block to be scrambled or descrambled is in the initial part of the message; c) increasing the counter by a predetermined number; and d) generating the counter block value by using the CIF count value stored in the step b) and the counter increased in the step c).

    摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for encoding/decoding moving pictures based on adaptive scanning. The moving picture apparatus and method can increase a compression rate based on adaptive scanning by performing intra prediction onto blocks of a predetermined size, and scanning coefficients acquired from Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) of a residue signal and quantization differently according to the intra prediction mode. The moving picture encoding apparatus includes: a mode selector for selecting and outputting a prediction mode; a predictor for predicting pixel values of pixels to be encoded of an input video based on the prediction mode to thereby output a residue signal block; a transform/quantization unit for performing DCT onto the residue signal block and quantizing the transformed residue signal block; and an encoder for adaptively scanning and encoding the quantized residue signal block based on the prediction mode.

The transmission system generates a basic contents stream for basic contents configuring the broadcasting contents to transmit the basic contents stream to a terminal through a broadcasting network, generates an additional contents stream for additional contents associated with the basic contents to transmit the additional contents stream to the terminal through a communication network, and further transmits at least one of associated playing information on the basic contents and associated playing information on the additional contents to the terminal, and the reception terminal receives the basic contents stream, the additional contents stream, and the associated playing information and synchronize the basic contents and the additional contents with each other to play them, thereby playing the broadcasting contents in real time.
