On a surface of the same recording medium, there are arranged an overt area (recognizable on market) (3) printed by using a color changing ink or liquid crystal ink and a covert area (cannot be recognized unless a special instrument is used) (5) formed by retroreflective printing. The overt area (3) and the covert area (5) may be arranged at different places or overlapped partially or entirely. The overt character graphic pattern may be identical to or different from the covert character graphic pattern. In the case of overt printed by using liquid crystal ink, it also functions as a covert by using the authentication method employing a circular polarization plate. The sticker may have one or more cuts so that the sticker is broken when it is peeled off and cannot be used again.
