    摘要: A power supply for a video display tube includes a deflection transformer with a primary winding powered with a scan voltage which has a first value when displaying signal according to a first video standard and a second voltage when displaying video according to a second standard. A secondary winding of the transformer produces filament voltage for the display tube. A variable coupler couples the filament voltage to the filament of the picture tube in an amount established by a control signal. A memory produces a first control signal in response to the first scan voltage and a second control signal in response to the second scan voltage. The first and second control signals are selected so that the voltage coupled from the transformer to the filament is the same at both scan voltages.

    摘要: A television (TV) includes a circuit board (PCB) into which a digital video interface (DVI) receiver integrated circuit (IC) may optionally be mounted, and also includes other video sources. The TV includes a processor or controller which controls its operation, and also includes an analog switch coupled to the analog sources and to the PCB at the receiver, for switching among video sources. A scan port of the IC is coupled by way of a resistor to a general purpose I/O (GPIO) port of the switch, for indicating the presence of DVI video. The resistor has a value which places a logic low at the GPIO port when the optional receiver is present, and to allow the GPIO port to be pulled high when it is absent. A controller determines the presence or absence of the optional DVI IC by examining the logic state of the GPIO port.

    摘要: There is provided a circuit and method for generating a focus voltage having a predetermined waveform and magnitude for application to an electron beam focus means of a cathode ray tube having a display surface. A horizontal deflection current having a predetermined waveform and a frequency which is selectable over a predetermined range of frequencies is used to generate substantially horizontal scan lines on the display surface of the cathode ray tube by causing at least one electron beam to sweep across the display surface. The circuit has an input for receiving a signal having a current waveform representative of the waveform and frequency of the horizontal deflection current. In response to the received signal, the circuit produces a focus voltage output, the waveform and magnitude of which remain substantially constant over the range of selected frequencies of the horizontal deflection current.
