摘要: The invention provides a radionuclide production method and a radionuclide production system which make it possible to separate, using a simple operation, a target radionuclide generated by irradiation with a radioactive ray, and to reduce the generation of a radioactive waste along with the separation. The radionuclide production method includes: a step of irradiating, with a radioactive ray, a target material (10) in which a starting material nuclide is present, to generate a radionuclide; and a step of eluting the radionuclide into a liquid (30) by bringing the target material (10) into contact with the liquid (30). The target material (10) is a porous body or a granular material through which the liquid (30) is passable. The radionuclide production system (100) includes: a target material (10) in which a starting material nuclide is present; an irradiation unit (1) that irradiates the target material (10) with a radioactive ray to generate a radionuclide; and an elution unit (2) that elutes the radionuclide into a liquid (30) by bringing the target material (10) into contact with the liquid (30). The target material (10) is a porous body or a granular material through which the liquid (30) is passable.

摘要: An apparatus for producing 99Mo from a plurality of 100Mo targets through a photo-nuclear reaction on the 100Mo targets. The apparatus comprises (i) an electron linear accelerator component; (ii) an energy converter component capable of receiving the electron beam and producing therefrom a shower of bremsstrahlung photons; (iii) a target irradiation component for receiving the shower of bremsstrahlung photons for irradiation of a target holder mounted and positioned therein. The target holder houses a plurality of 100Mo target discs. The apparatus additionally comprises (iv) a target holder transfer and recovery component for receiving, manipulating and conveying the target holder by remote control; (v) a first cooling system sealingly engaged with the energy converter component for circulation of a coolant fluid therethrough; and (vi) a second cooling system sealingly engaged with the target irradiation component for circulation of a coolant fluid therethrough.
