    摘要: Carrier device (1) for coupling to a ball of a towing hook (14). The device is provided with two jaw elements (19, 20) and clamping means. The clamping means consist of two link bars (34, 35). The first link bar is hingedly fixed at one end relative to a housing, the other end being fixed to one end of the second link bar. The other end of the second link bar can be slid against the first jaw element. With a screw pin (3) the angle between the link bars can be altered. By way of a threaded hole (30) the screw pin runs through a rotary shaft (29). The screw pin is hingedly coupled at one end to both link bars. The jaw elements pivot about a pin (21) which can be slid between a first position and a second position, the jaw elements being pushed apart by springs when the pin is in the second position.

The carrier (10) is made up of a lower folding portion (19), an upper folding portion (14) and a fixed portion (13) comprising two U-shaped side parts (15) fixed to the body (11) of the recreational vehicle. The lower folding portion (19) includes rails (24) and straps (25) to receive bicycle wheels, the upper folding portion (14) comprises a U-shaped part (26) with an articulated arm (32) with sleeves (35) and belts (36,37) to fasten bicycles to the arm. When folded, the articulated arm (32) and upper folding portion (14) fold into the space between the two fixed U-shaped side parts (15) to reduce the height of the carrier when not in use.

    摘要: A load carrying unit includes a load carrying portion having a pair of wheels lockably raisable and lowerable in relation thereto. The load carrying portion may be connected to a vehicle by means of a standard ball-and-socket hitch used in conjunction with a cantilever arm. Once the hitch and arm have been connected to the vehicle, the wheels may be raised and the load carrying portion slid toward the vehicle to reduce the cantilever stress on the arm. The load carrying portion and the vehicle may be driven as though there were no trailer.
