An apparatus for fabricating a color filter. This apparatus includes an inkjet head movably installed over a substrate on which a plurality of pixels are formed, discharging ink of predetermined colors into the pixels, and a porous member movably installed over the pixels filled with the ink discharged from the inkjet head, forming a solvent ambient around the ink filled within the pixels due to evaporation of a solvent filled in the porous member, whereby the drying speed of the ink is reduced.

The present invention aims to provide a photosensitive transfer material which allows for preventing light fog under safelight even with a highly sensitive photosensitive transfer layer, and is particularly preferably used in producing printed circuit boards and color filters for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). For this end, the present invention provides a photosensitive layer having a support, and a cushion layer, an oxygen insulation layer, and a photosensitive layer formed on the support, at least any one of the cushion layer and the oxygen insulation layer has light absorbing properties of which absorbance at a wavelength ranging from 500 nm to 600 nm is 1 or more and absorbance at a wavelength ranging from 350 nm to 450 nm is 0.3 or less. In the photosensitive transfer material, at least any one of the oxygen insulation layer and the cushion layer contains a dye.

A solid state imaging device comprising two lambda/4 multilayer films each consisting of a plurality of dielectric layers, and an insulator layer sandwiched by the lambda/4 multilayer films wherein the insulator layer selectively transmits an incident light using a color filter having an optical film thickness other than lambda/4. Since this constitution enables to employ a thin film color filter, the solid state imaging device can be reduced in size.

A color filter (19) used in a transmissive color liquid crystal display panel of a color liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus. This color filter (19) is constituted by a tristimulus color filter for wavelength-selecting and transmitting red light, green light and blue light. Mixing of blue color and red color is prohibited by not having the transmission wavelength band of the red filter CFR overlaid substantially on the transmission wavelength band of the blue filter CFB.

Methods for imaging regular patterns are provided. A multi-channel imaging head is configured in accordance with the repeat of a pre-determined regular pattern such that no swath boundaries appear within the visibly imaged features of the pattern. The imaged articles have reduced visible banding due to the elimination of swath boundaries in the imaged features.
