Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Wiederaufbereitung von Waschabfall einer Druckmaschine zur Trennung von unverbrauchtem lösemittelbasiertem Waschmittel aus dem Waschabfall, um die Kosten für die Entsorgung und den Einsatz von neuem Waschmittel zu reduzieren. Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Lösung zu schaffen, die es ermöglicht, das im Waschabfall enthaltene unverbrauchte Waschmittel zu separieren, um dieses wieder einem Waschvorgang zuführen zu können. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren umfasst einen ersten Verfahrensschritt, bei welchem dem Waschabfall ein Koagulant zugesetzt wird und wobei dem Waschabfall in einem zweiten Verfahrensschritt ein Flockungsmittel zugesetzt wird, so dass in einem dritten Verfahrensschritt der Waschabfall physikalisch in das unverbrauchte Waschmittel und ein Gemisch aus den restlichen Bestandteilen des Waschabfalls getrennt wird.
