    摘要: A method is disclosed for treating dore slag resulting from smelting of a dore furnace charge, by grinding such slag and then subjecting the obtained pulp to froth flotation in the presence of a suitable frother and collector to produce a precious metals concentrate which is then filtered and returned to the dore furnace with the next charge. The tails from the froth flotation may then be finely ground and subjected to several additional flotation stages to improve recovery of the precious metals, and the entire operation is preferably carried out as a closed loop process so that only the tailings from the rougher flotation are removed and shipped to the smelter.

    摘要: The present invention is concerned with a method for electrorefining silver in a Moebius cell whereby the anode is completely dissolved and the gold mud is removed without handling of any partially dissolved anodes. The cell is conventional except that the anodes are placed in a basket (10) made of a thermoplastic material and surrounded by a cloth, the electrical contact between the anode and the power source takes place outside the electrolyte. The bottom of the basket is provided with apertures allowing the gold mud produced to fall into the cloth until the anode is completely dissolved.

    摘要: A method of increasing the extraction of tellurium from copper electrorefining slime comprises leaching the slime with dilute sulphuric acid in a reactor under a partial oxygen pressure of up to 150 psi and at an elevated temperature between about 100 and 200°C until copper, nickel and substantially all of the tellurium is dissolved, thereby forming a leach slurry, and contacting the slurry with an appropriate reducing agent immediately after the leaching operation has been halted and the leaching reactor brough back to atmospheric pressure to reprecipitate any excessive quantities of silver and selenium solubilized during the leaching operation.
