摘要: A medical pump apparatus including an internally sterile pumping chamber having a flexible diaphragm forming a wall portion and a drive rod extending through the diaphragm in a rotating vane disposed within the pumping chamber. A motor rotates a revolving hook which engages the drive rod to drive the vane within the pumping unit. The pumping chamber is isolated from the motor by the fluidtight attachment of the drive rod through the flexible diaphragm. Fluid is pumped into the inlet of pumping chamber through the hollow shaft of the vane and out through a fluid conduit of the vane, subsequently out the outlet of the pumping chamber.

摘要: A medical infusion fluid handling system, such as an APD system, may be arranged to de-cap and connect one or more lines (30) (such as solution lines) with one or more spikes (160) or other connection ports on a fluid handling cassette (24). This feature may reduce a likelihood of contamination since no human interaction is required to de-cap and connect the lines and spikes. For example, an APD system may include a carriage (146) arranged to receive a plurality of solution lines (30) each having a connector end (31a) and a cap (31). The carriage may move along a first direction so as to move the connector ends of the solution lines along the first direction, and a cap stripper (149) may be arranged to engage with caps on the solution lines on the carriage. The cap stripper may move in a second direction transverse to the first direction, as well as to move with the carriage along the first direction.

摘要: A fluid connector assembly. The fluid connector assembly includes a tab portion including a slot; a plug portion slidably connected to the tab portion the plug portion comprising a fluid path and a disc, the disc configured to seat within the slot; a catch feature located on a first end of the tab portion and configured to interact with a reservoir; and a latching feature located on a second end of the tab portion, the latching feature configured to interact and lock onto the reservoir, wherein force applied to the plug portion may overcome a threshold force and unseat the disc from the slot wherein the plug portion moves with respect to the tab portion.

摘要: A fill adapter system for an infusion pump assembly. The system includes a reusable fill adapter base, the base including a volume control mechanism to adjust an available fill volume of a reservoir of the infusion pump assembly and a pomp mechanism configured to pump air into a fluid vial. The system also includes a vial adapter assembly including a first needle configured to penetrate a septum of the fluid vial for fluidly coupling the pump mechanism to the fluid vial and a second needle having a first end configured to penetrate the septum of the fluid vial and a second end configured to penetrate a septum of the reservoir of the infusion pump assembly to allow transfer of fluid from the fluid vial to the reservoir of the infusion pump assembly in response to air being pumped into the fluid vial and a needle carriage adapted to carry the first needle and the second needle, wherein the needle carriage slidably attached to the interior of the vial adapter assembly, wherein the needle carriage adapted to slide from a vial end of the vial adapter to a receptacle end of the via! adapter.
